I wont ask why Tim is fighting a retired fighter, because I already know it. In this sport there are levels, and tzyu's level is this one, the kind of fighter who has to fight retired fighters to pad his record.

Nevertheless, Tim should be careful, because it might backfire since Thurman at his peak was a very verey good fighter, way better than Tim. Chances are scarce, though, since last time Thurman fought while being fully active Elvis Presley was at ringside in las vegas.

The saddest part of all of this is that this retired fighter would be Tim's better victory by far (in case of victory, ofc).

Tim is not dragging anybody anywhere.

Thurman, to his credit is the only one who put up his hand. Bud (not his fault) was waiting on Spence to make a decision and as for the rest, well we all know how that looks.

This differs from Canelo given that there just happens to be the number one contender at Canelo's actual weight who is calling for that fight...and Canelo has made the decision to fight a couple of circus midgets instead. He should be fighting Benavidez and let's not pretend otherwise.

    It's a very big difference.

Canelo's actual weight wasn't 160. He was fighting at 155 because he couldn't get a title fight at 154, which was his weight class, the same weight class Tim is at now. Canelo took the fights that were available at the time. He fought Cotto because that was the biggest fight that could be made at the time. Then when he won everyone wanted him to fight GGG at 160, a weight he had never fought at before. This isn't hard to understand. Tim is fighitng a Welterweight at 155. Canelo fought at Welterweight at 155. It's the same weight. Of course there are differences, this is non-title, that was for the MW title. The circumstances were different, but it's still dragging a Welterweight up to 155 instead of fighting a ranked contender in your weight class.

I said the exact same thing about Canelo and Khan. In response to people saying Canelo was dragging Khan up, I was like you and said, no, to his credit, Khan put up his hand and wanted to move up, and in that case challenge for the title Canelo held.

To you, Tim's innocent here, it's just Thurman wanting to move up to 155 and Tim saying OK. Canelo didn't seek out Khan, Khan wanted to move up and challenge Canelo, to take a big risk.

What's moron is to hype this guy who has fought noone and whose highest ambition today is to fight a retired fighter. That's what's really moronic.

Then some day he will get his ass handed to him and you all idiots will claim "robbery!!". Not the first time I've watched this movie.

I am talking about Canelo now. Not Canelo a decade ago.

Why is he fighting both Charlos and potentially Crawford instead of the guy he should fight?

Who is Tim ducking that he should be fighting? Of course Tim is innocent here. Who is he avoiding? I'll wait...

If you can't see the difference then I don't know what to tell you.

Tim wants all the smoke Charlo, Crawford, Spence even Canelo.
What these idiots don't realize is that it is a lot harder to land the big fights when you are from a much smaller populated country like Australia but Tim is doing all the right things and is willing to fight anybody in or around his weight class. Those who are overly critical of him are just worried that he will beat their man.

Who said he's ducking anyone? The #1 ranked contender in the WBO is Josh Kelly.

And none of those guys are ranked by the WBO at 154. So ironically Tim wants all the smoke against guys that the title he is holding won't sanction. Which is ironic given that Charlo was stripped for not defending his title in a year, but the guys that Tim is apparently targetting would get him stripped just as well.

Crawford would be sanctioned he is the WBO Welterweight champion he can request to jump Kelly and the WBO would grant it. I am sure Tim would gladly vacate the WBO title to get his hands on Charlo.

Well @chacal is making that claim.

    Josh Kelly? Hahahahaha.

Josh Kelly ain’t fit to lace Tszyu’s gloves. If Tszyu fought Josh Kelly you guys would accuse him of a cherrypick.

    Josh Kelly…hahahahaha. OMFG.

Josh Kelly v Nikita Tszyu would be a fair match up. Tim puts Kelly in the dirt.

And that's the thing that these guys seem to be missing. The Bud vs Tszyu fight is the one that was expected to happen. It is the fault of neither party that this is on ice for now. Crawford had to wait for Spence to make a decision on the rematch clause. What was Tszyu supposed to do? He did what he had to, he took a fight against a high profile opponent who put his hand up. None of the others, including chicken**** Charlo are anywhere to be seen. All other names are just smoke and mirrors..Ortiz, Kelly, Lubin...none of them are fighting Tszyu. None of them are anywhere near his class. And none of them, except the whiff of a deal to fight Lubin were ever mooted. And we all know what Tszyu would do to Lubin.

Had Spence made his decision a month or two earlier, then Bud and Tszyu would be fighting next up.l
