I think it is tough to debut in another country and something like a knock down is bound to happen so Tszyu did very well considering and will likely be more comfortable next time he fights in the US. I predict he will hold a belt by the end of the year.

I couldn't care less to be honest. I had it 116-111 Tszyu.

95% of the people in here can't judge a boxing fight for ****. To be fair, i have a lot of bad scorecards too but its not because i can't score them, it's mostly because i'm biased as **** and therefore give close rounds to my favorite fighter or the fighter i have a lot of money on. In this case i didn't have a single bet on any fighter except Fight Goes to the Distance so no reason for me to be biased. The only outcome i was interested in was the outcome of no stoppage lol.

I explained it several times now. Fights are scored ROUND BY ROUND.

Gausha won R1 (10-8), R2 pretty clearly and probably edged R3 as well with the better & cleaner punches. So if you don't give Gausha any more rounds it's a 116-111.

BUT...there were some closer rounds in the later stage after Tszyu beat him up in the middle rounds.

If you score just one or two rounds of those for Gausha it's a 115-112 or 114-113 which makes it a close fight on paper.

People don't understand that the KD and the Gausha rounds early on really made it a close fight on paper albeit it wasn't a close fight at all if you just watch it.

But there is a difference between objectivity and subjectivity. Objectively you have to score a fight RBR. Subjectively you see Gausha getting beaten up pretty badly in a lot of rounds.

As long as people don't understand it...there will be some stupid discussions about that.

If Fighter A gets beaten up pretty badly and dropped once in each of the first four rounds he's down 8 POINTS. If Fighter B then beats up Fighter A in Rounds 5-12 he wins 8 rounds 10-9 but still only gets a draw. You understand?

In conversation, Tszyu comes across like some weird Aussie jock version of his father.

He's like the aloof reformed high school bully who refuses to admit wrongdoing or show any contrition for picking on kids the previous grade but now wants to be universally liked and elected class prez.

Got a real chip on his shoulder/deserving prior to earning vibe.

He did pretty good in his first fight in the us. Gausha isn't a bum so it was a good test for him.

To be fair yeah, after the disastrous first three rounds and the opener in particular to end up winning it wide shows durability and pluck at the very least. Still lots of kinks to iron out in training if he's to not continuously be vulnerable to slick fast movers, however.

Let go of the commentary and trying using your eyes?

Sounds like you are more hung up on that than what was actually happening. Giving every Rnd 7 onward to Gausha other than you had a grudge with the commentary? That is your opinion and one very very few share.

Thought Tszyu won a 9-3 or 8-4 at worst type of decision. Gausha was tough, game, competitive throughout, and difficult to tag cleanly upstairs because of that tight guard but Tsyzu was too physically strong, relentless and powerful for him and despite the early KD he lacked the power to keep him off. Prime Tszyu would've got Gausha out of there in 3 or 4 rounds though.
