Sparring is sparring, you have to remember though that fighters spar a few times a week for 8-12 weeks on top of running, bag work, pads and other boxing and conditioning drills. It stands to reason that they won't go into every sparring session in fighting shape.

They also base their training camp for peaking on fight night.
