As a Khan fan, let me answer you...

When King and Shaw proposed this unofficial tournament, Khan was yet to make his Golden Boy/US debut. For his first fight ever in a market where he was relatively unknown, he and his team preferred to take a safe fight which would allow him to look good and turn a few heads. Malignaggi was a perfect opponent to do that. A pretty reasonable approach if you ask me. Once this US debut was out of the way, then Khan and his team were open to the idea of an unofficial four-man tournament.

As for belittling Alexander and his performance against Kotelnik, I only resort to this when I address people like Ray – who for a long time, has been an ******* whenever it comes to comparing Alexander and Khan.

M8, he said his following in St. Louis is just as big as Khan's in UK. :-(

How clear does the denial have to be? Here's Tim's take on Devon:

Do you think Bradley is wrong now?

Either Bradley has it wrong or Alexander. You can't have it both ways.

I can understand that 100% and it's fine with me. But They just can't say the man was ducking him when it's a matter of convenience for both parts.

As far as Ray, I understand man:lol: say no more.

Devon put 15,000 butts in the seats in STL. What do you want him to say? He feels he is the better fighter and with 3 titles he would clearly be more accomplished. Should he Bow to Khan?

And Bradley is wrong about Khan lining pockets. Khan and his pops just stated they are not cash cows. How much did Maidana get for the Khan fight?

Khan can sell out a 20k arena at the drop of a hat in the UK. But you don't seem to get my point. He compared one city, in one state, in America, to an entire country :rofl

Khan is Top 3 in the division right now, and is ranked higher than Devon atm because of his performance with Kotelnik.

There is no "bowing" in boxing. Khan didn't "bow" to Maidana when he took the fight with him. Ali didn't "bow" to Liston when he took that fight either.

You either fight the best in the division, or you duck the best in the division. Bradley wants to fight, Devon wants to duck.

    Plain and simple. :hi:

I get your point we went over that in the past. Khan was the UK Golden Boy, I'm aware of that. I know what he did in the AMS.

Khan got a jump in the "Ring" ratings a company in which his own promoter owns. Devon is a unified Champ and this fight determines the #1 in the Division, without Khan.

And regarding Maidana didn't he have to sanction the WBA for his shot? I believe they ordered a purse bid in which Khan then came with a second offer that Maidana excepted.

And when Alexander and company offered Khan a spot in a 4 man tournement what happend to your logic of the best fighting the best?

    Plain and simple:hi:

You want to use Khan's denial of a tournament at a time when he was little known in the US as an excuse to allow Devon not to fight Khan now? :rofl

Poor Excuse. But I can't blame you, as that's the only one you have m8 ;)

When Khan wasn't taking the Maidana fight because it would be a "dangerous" fight, we called him a ducker.

Now, when Alexander doesn't want to fight someone who outperformed him vs Koltenik, you want to use words like "bow" and "doesn't have to". Which is bs. Let's try to stay consistent here.

He's ducking Khan m8, there isn't anything else to it.

    Devon "Da Duck" Alexander :hi:

I have always enjoyed chatting with you b/c you are a mature poster, but this is getting a lil silly. Me and Rico pretty much summed up everything me and you were talking about and understand each other. You are not responding to the issues and now you are resorting to name calling and silly faces.

How much did Khan the cash cow pay Maidana to fight?
Did Alexander offer to be in a tourney in which Khan declined?
Will Alexander be looking for bigger fish then Khan after Alexander?
If Devon doesn't get a big fight will he have to fight whoever HBO chooses?

Does this sound like a ducker to you? The guy who is fighting the #1 in the division on Saturday. C'mon man.

The crazy thing i don't really care for Alexander, I don't think he is going to win. But the way you guysgo on about him is too much.

Dude, he's fighting Alexander...so what does it matter WHY you think it's happeneing? All that speculation is now meaningless. And Bradley is right, Khan represents a big payday. It's stupid for Alexander to already dismiss a fight with a peer who's also a money maker. Makes one look suspiscious for refusing when it makes sense.

Yea he got bs excuses for Khan when Alexander wanted to be in a tourny in which Khan decline but he said cause Khan was unknown? But yet when Alexander said if he beats Bradley that he don't need Khan but that's ducking? Not the same thing as what Khan did? I smell a double standard on boxking part. As i've said so many times, when it's all said and done, if Alexander beats Bradley, he deserves an easy fight next . And if he gets pass the easy fight, he will fight Khan in which hbo will make sure of it if they put up the big money.

And? Alexander still wanted to fight the best fighter at 140 pound in Bradley after his struggle with Kotelnik. <<<Normally a fighter will not go straight to a big big fight after a bad performance in the last fight but yet Alexander still wanted Bradley in which shows he got the guts to do it.

And who's to say Alexander will still say he won't fight Khan later on? If Bradley can finally change his mind about fighting Alexander, then don't you think Alexander would do the same about Khan? You people is blowing this out of the water way too quickly.

It's like when Bradley didn't want to fight Alexander, it's ok to most people. But when Alexander said he didn't want to fight Khan after Bradley, OMG!!!!! IT'S WAR WORLD 2!!!! IT'S AN OUTRAGE!!! IT'S A DISGRACE!!!!!!!

Dude i'm tired of these people bashing Alexander cause of his comments. When Khan did it, it's ok. When Bradley did it, it's cool. But when Alexander did it, omg what a ducker. Lol. I find it funny that people here say that Alexander is now ducking Khan when he's fighting the number 1 best fighter at 140 pounds in Bradley. <<< Yea this makes alot of sense. If Alexander wins, i bet hbo will make sure that Alexander vs Khan will happen in the fall or next winter.
