Before the Pacquiao fight I read that Bradley fasts for 3 days before training camp but didn't see anything about the reasoning behind it. Does anyone know the logic behind it and it's benefits? And does he literally not eat for 3 days or is it a 24 hour fast before eating 3 days in row? I've tried searching in google but all that comes up are articles about controversy of the fight itself.
I don't see the point or how it would help an athlete tbh. Probably more of a 'mental conditioning' thing for Bradley.
I highly doubt an athlete performing at a top level would fast for 3 days before a training camp. Stupidity.
Don't know if he did say this. But its an extremely dumb idea for an athlete with zero benefit and entirely counter-productive. That said intermittent fasting is a great way of burning fat. Again for boxing its pointless. Insane muscular conditioning doesn't help you win fights. Hopefully one day Bradley will get the memo. But hey the kid is still winning....
Horses for courses. A lot of fighters do some crazy **** when training and train in a way far from what a lot of professionals would call 'optimal'. But if it works for them? Who gives a ****?
