The damage he took in the Provodnikov fight made me cringe, Bradley absorbed hellacious looking shots over and over again, Provodnikov was literally trying to kill him with some of those shots but Bradley has a titanium chin and miraculously survived the fight despite being knocked down twice. He performed pretty well against Marquez but those shots have to take their toll on his neurological health at some point, my question is when? Is he gonna be like Ali where the brain damage will manifest later on or will he be like Meldrick Taylor and rapidly degrade into a state of incompetence within the next couple of years.

Fighting wise, it could show quickly. The real problems can manifest later on in life. When u see him talking and his speech is suddenly slurred, u know its a sign. Some guys can also degrade faster and far worse than others

You know as much as I love following boxing, this is one of the unfortunate and very sad aspects of the sport. I hope for his sake that his health does not deteriorate. I know Bernard Hopkins and a group of boxing advocates went to the White House recently to promote a new study that will look into the neurological effects of boxing. Hopkins mentioned that oftentimes the biggest damage is actually done in training/sparring where you are doing hours upon hours of tough sparring in preparation for fights.

nobody ever admits they lost. but, yes timmys insistence that he won the first fight is pure comedy. but i think most fighters live in their own delusions

This is part of what makes boxing so beautiful, actually. It's not about brain damage, it's about sacrifice. Boxers not only sacrifice themselves before and during a fight, they sacrifice their long term health as well. When you know this, and you watch a true war like Bradley was in, it makes it all the more stunning.

You're watching someone willing to take YEARS off of their life in a single night because they refuse to back down. Boxing exposes the human spirit and the desire to win in a way that no other sport possibly can. Those who enter the ring are aware of all risks, short term and long. It is in awareness of the risk and giving everything you have anyway that one can be called a warrior.

In Phili and Ny, there are always a group of guys in the gym who are all messed up from excessive sparring.

Unlike Pac, Bradley is tough as nails and has a great chin and tremendous heart. Along with with superior boxing skills, Pac doesnt really stand a chance.

Bradleys, brain is already scarred from that beating already, but the brain will not show the damge yet. It will show it usually, 10 - 15 years after his career!
