While I totally agree with you and believe that Pacquiao will absolutely destroy Bradley, he is everything that the haters pretend Pacquiao is afraid of, except maybe "slick." He is a young black american undefeated champion. The fact is that everybody Pacquiao has fought above 140 would likely beat Bradley as well, and Bradley is currently my favorite fighter not named Dapidran.

If he wants the $1.2 million fight he was promised by HBO, it has to be one of the guys on the pre-approved list. Those guys are Khan, Maidana, or Berto. So no matter where he goes, it's a dangerous fight. Khan is definitely the marquee fight at this point.

I was under the impression that those guys were simply pre-approved, but that the network was willing to consider other names. I've never really heard that it was something like an absolute contraint on who he can fight next. I doubt that Matthysse was a pre-approved for Alexander's similar deal, yet he's still been approved as an opponent and Alexander is still getting his guaranteed payday. Also, I think Alexander was on Bradley's list too, so maybe we can see a rematch of that epic

Disappointed in Bradley :-( If he beats Khan his chances improve to fighting Pac or Mayweather!

I don't imagine HBO is very happy with Bradley these days. So i would hope they enforce that list. Doesn't always work that way, though. He's certainly not going to get $1.2 for another Abregu type. I mean, he's not Andre Berto for chrissakes! :good

I can't knock Tim for doing what he thinks is right but that's why he should have a trusted adviser on his payroll whom he can trust.

I think holding out makes sense for someone MORE established than Tim. He's got the same problem a lot of young up and coming fighters get when they win a couple of BIG fights... They get a false security of "ENTITLEMENT".

Where they wait and get put on the shelf waiting for the "right opportunity" or for holding out until their demands are met. the problem is their perception of what they deserve is not REALITY!

When they get to this place in their careers it can be counter productive and they lose out on a nice steady progression where they'd end up FORCING the big fight rather than WAIT FOR IT.

Tim needs to stay active to stay sharp. while he won't really have the motivation for a HUGE fight at least he'll keep relevant by staying in the publics eye and stays in "fighting condition".

Though if he signs with Top Rank, I could very easily see HBO letting him take on a soft opponent since the network is still probably trying to get back on Arum's good side.

Timmy knows hes gonna get beat, why lose to amir khan for pennies when you can lose to Pacquiao/Mayweather for pounds.

    Mayweather is fighting Ortiz
    Pacquiao is fighting Marquez
    Khan needs an opponent . . .

    ???

Looks like he just wants the big Mayweather/Pacquiao payday. What a joke.

That's not really whats going on Lunny, that quote pulled from the interview is a bit sensational.

    "STOP DUCKIN KHAN!"
    :verysad

The thing is though, he can still fight any of those guys if he just waits for his contract with shaw to expire. He'd also be able to demand better terms when negotiating with a new promoter if he is still undefeated whereas if he loses hes left with no deal in place and a loss on his record. It's just smart biz. The only place he went wrong is by calling khan out.
