RJKO23 why exactly do you think Bradley CAN'T score a Pac fight next? Just because he didn't take this fight with Khan? If Pac/Mayweather doesn't come off for them next, who else is Pac supposed to face?

is the fight being talked about? has pacman even mentioned it as a possibility? if so then like i said he should take it in a heart beat. but if its a 50/50 chance of getting the fight then he's holding out and waiting for something that might not happen, all the while he could of been involved in an exciting and lucrative fight with khan

I don't see why what he said is mutually exclusive. He said he would beat Khan but that it's a risk. Or, are you arguing about how he said it? For instance, had he said: "I believe I can beat Khan, but it's a risk and I don't want to damage my stock in case I can land a super fight", would that have been acceptable? Instead he says something along the lines of "Khan's win wasn't that great, he's beatable, I'd give him a beating. I want to fight Manny or May" It's basically the same language.

I disagree with his strategy as well by the way, I think if he really wants to press his case for a mega-fight that he should fight Khan and anyone else in the top 10 that he can get his hands on.

well thats fair enough, maybe he has valid reasons. im not into bashing fighters. especially not bradley because his record of fighting top guys is great, but the fact he has ducked means he fully deserves to be stripped.
he cant really complain about that.
to be honest it would probably suite khan to face a peterson or morales before he moves up to 147 anyway. easier fights!

Yes.. Honestly think it's been mentioned multiple times. Think he's doing what Martinez was, putting his name out there in the pot to try and score a mega fight. Difference is Arum actually mentioned Bradley as a possible Pac fight unlike Martinez.

But considering Bradley missed out on a big time opportunity (to fight Khan)

of course he'll take a chance to discredit a win by Amir. In this case he's absolutely mouthing off

**and what's T-Brad doing trying to hold out for a big fight .. it's not like he has any name recognition outside of the hardcore boxing fans

I hope the joker moves up to Welter and gets stiffed on a big fight ... because right now Bradley is overvaluing himself and being a greedy **** about it.

"Oh I don't want to fight Amir Khan because the pay day isn't enough .. I mean the risk, it's too risky" ... yeah he'd rather cash out with a mega fight vs Floyd or Pac, makes sense

His been out of the ring way to long.

We need another undisputed Jr Welter champion, first since Kostya Tszyu??

Boxing is a business. Tim is just making sure his business is straight before stepping in the ring again. Obviously he wants nothing to do with Shaw. You would think people who follow boxing would understand that, but they seriously believe he is scared of Khan.

Right business comes first in boxing. And the people who do follow boxing are wondering why someone who can't even sell out fighting in his own hometown is clamoring for a big fight

I don't necessarily think Bradley fears Khan either, but he probably saw the $5 Mill pay day Mosley got for basically just showing up ... and thought, "Why not me? The only thing Shane has on me is a name"

**yet another reason why the Pacquiao-Mosley fight was a bad move. Pretty much every major media outlet reported Shane's pay day gong in.

and how do you think all the younger fighters see that

"If that old fart can get $5 Mill for a fight he has no chance, why not me?"

He might be thinking that, but I think he's going to have a rude awakening if an offer does come for him at what the figure would actually be. It's not going to be $5 million because he doesn't bring **** for name value to the table like Mosley did. Arum's too smart a businessman, **** that he is, to overpay for Bradley like that. Especially since the backlash against Tim is going to make that fight a tougher sell than it was before. The hit on his reputation is going to affect what Arum offers him.

When it's all said and done, he may not be making that much more against Pac than if he'd just fought Khan with the 1.8 million + 50% UK PPV money, and Khan's a much more winnable fight for him than Pac is (even though I'd still favor Amir). And that's ignoring all other logical reasons for taking the Khan fight.

He's a guy who couldn't afford to damage his own rep like he's done. He didn't have the cushion of a ton of fans to start with. You'd think for a guy concerned about paydays he'd have realized that. Now? Once he gets beat, too many fans have a sour taste in their mouths as to how he handled this for them to support him, and in turn for him to keep getting really good paydays. Even if Khan beat him, he was still going to get 6 and 7 figure paydays back at 140. After Khan leaves, the division would've been back wide open again and he'd have been a top 3 guy in position to unify again, and he'd have had the backing of a top promoter to do it.

Tim's ****ed up his long-term earnings potential because of short-term greed. If his game plan was to maximize his earnings from boxing, he still made the wrong move.
