Timothy Bradley v Devon Alexander

For me Bradley shown more adaptability.

Alexander beat Urango well but we must remember Urango was coming off a loss to Berto then a hard fought win (came off canvas) to Randall Bailey. Urango is a solid champion but no more then that and Devon dismantled him nicely but i feel Bradley has more depth to his record now and also fact he adapts and finds a way to win and is constantly improving i fancy him to beat Devon at this moment in time.

 

Would be a great fight against two guys who are techically very sound, no real visible weaknesses in either man's arsenal. I'd go for Bradley on a close but clear points win.

brilliant combinations and some real depth in his record. campbell,cherry,witter,holt, peterson. showed some real chin against holt. caught mid punch and was sent sprawling. then just popped onto his feet in 4 secs.
seems more adabtable of the 2. has the workrate and pressure of a swarmer but the boxing knowledge and counterpunching skills of a boxer. thats a tough style to pull of correctly. but the ones who do master it go far

 

Bradley for me, he's a class above the rest at 140, as for Khan he's moved up to number 2 after the Maidana win, lets see if he sticks to his promise and fights the winner of Bradley v Alex, I hope so but some how I doubt it

 

Not concensous at all. Ring Mag have Alexander rated No.3 behind Khan and he's lucky to be there after the schooling Kotelnik gave him.
If he performs like that again, Bradley will mangle him for 12 long rounds.

 

Comfortable night for Bradley, me thinks. Bradley is a smart fighter and I'd love to see him up against Khan in July. Alexander however, comes across as a bit one dimensional and clueless in there.

The Kotelnik fight for example, wasn't even close. I had Kotelnik up by four rounds at the end. Disgraceful, intelligence insulting robbery. I couldn't remember the last time I was pissed off with such a decision. Don't get me started on the HBO commenators either! What an utter sham that was!

 

Nope. I think the consensus top dogs at 140 would be Bradley and Khan atm.


When all is said and done, I expect Khan to be the undisputed 140 champion

 

I think Bradley takes it but it will be a close fight and one i hope Sky pick up.

But bring any of these on and Khan will show them who really is the 140 King.

 

I think Bradley is more skilled, has great conditioning, and has that champions mentality. For that reason I would take him over Alexander. But I don't expect this to be an easy fight for him as some people are expecting. At this level the fights are really tough. When the top 4 guys are fighting each other, there aren't going to be easy fights.

Also, Bradley beating Peterson was supposed to be such a good win. So was his Holt win. Those guys haven't done jack since that. I thought Peterson lost against Ortiz and was a bit lucky to get the draw. That brings about some questions of how good Bradley really is.

 

That's true looking at Bradley record, i think Khan has the better wins, Peterson has been shown up as a top 10 140 but thats about it, he beat Holt where he also got KD, he beat an old Witter away his beat win, he head butted Nate, and fought some unknown 147 fighter.

Thats about it.

 

Witter was the consensus number 2 in the division and Bradley beat him pretty clearly.

Also he has a shutout win over Miguel Vasquez, which looks better now he has gone on to win a title.

 

Without trying to sound cynical, neither are as good as I thought they were previously. After his win again Witter, Bradley hasn't really done it for me, and he didn't look great when he moved up to Welter. His lack of power means he has to be on top form with his boxing skills. If he has an off night, he is gonna be in real trouble.

As for Devon, I always actually rated him very highly, and that uppercut against Urango was epic. But he struggled badly against Kotelnik, and I actually thought he lost the fight. That said, he has the power to trouble most at the weight.

As for the fight itself, Bradley outboxes him and keeps him at bay with his superior movement. Whoever wins it doesn't really matter for me, as Khan beats the pair of em. I'll be rooting for Devon on the night mind.
