I think he'd beat Rigo too - although I thought that before tonight too - his movement is too good.

So did Buffer just get it wrong?

I refuse to believe Buffer is ever wrong.

I think Lomas hand problems might have something to do with him not sitting down on his punches. In previous fights, he was unloading a lot more.

Lomo needs John David Jackson in his corner. If he gets Jackson I'd like to see him face Demarcus Corley.

No, just bored and tired. I literally couldn't think of anything to write about the ninth (that wouldn't have been a nearly exact repetition of the write-up in previous rounds) until well into Round 10.

I just hit submit to have a placeholder and was going to go back and edit by either piecing together a couple of sentences from memory real quick, or, when the KO happened, rewinding and forcing myself to jot down a couple of rote observations in blow-by-blow fashion...but I think it'll be funnier to leave it that way, like some existential statement.

    "Lomachenko is"

...and in so being, earns 10 points, to Koasicha's 9!

To be fair it was only a pure KO because Koasicha quit. It wasn't like he couldn't beat the count. He just didn't want to.

If we get that fight it will make up for Top Rank burning the Gamboa vs. Lopez soup a few years ago.

In the 2009 Worlds he beat Valdez 12-1, then former World Champ Vodyapanov by the same score...........both with a broken hand. Broke it in the first or second fight of the tourney.
