DEVON ALEXANDER: Timmy has an excellent record. He is undefeated, so he has to have something in his arsenal to be undefeated at this point in his career. I don’t dwell on it too much - I am like him on that. A guy with six losses can come in there and hit you with a lucky shot and knock you out. I don’t take anybody for granted and you have to be prepared.

What is the situation with the rematch clause? Is it immediate? What if another big fight comes calling after this one?

TIMOTHY BRADLEY: That’s a good question. I haven’t thought about it but I am sick of chasing people and calling people out so I am going to just let it come to me. I have to make the decision that is best for me and my family and just roll with it. We have the rematch clause and we need to do it whether it is this year or the following year.

TIMOTHY BRADLEY: I just want to constantly fight the best. I will become the best by fighting the best and giving the boxing fans the best fights out there that can possible be made. I am sick of fighting average guys. The top 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 – let’s go. Win this fight, who’s next? Khan? Let’s go. After Khan, Maidana, let’s go. After him...Marquez. There are so many fights out there to be made at 140. It’s great and I’m loving it.

Bradley dropped the belt instead of fighting you…

DEVON ALEXANDER: I am a firm believer that things happen for a reason. This is the right time for this fight to happen so it must not have been the right time to fight. Now we are fighting so of course it is a good thing now.
TIMOTHY BRADLEY: Normally when you have an orthodox fighter and a southpaw fighter fighting it usually isn’t (a good fight), but I think because this fight is so huge it is going to be interesting to see what I do and what he does. Dealing with a southpaw it is all about angles…fighting for position.

Yep, there's a couple on Alexander down at BS. Not too impressive. A bit of work on the Heavy bag, speed ball etc.

I blame Lazarus for the appalling ticket sales of this fight. I mean look at this build-up thread, and compare it to the epic one he made for Khan-Maidana.

That was a great build-up thread.

And thinking about it, the two that he's produced, Khadana and Bradlexander, are very accurate reflections of the hype the two fights managed to drum up.

Maaaan, give me a break .

Khan/Maidana just had so many pictures because Khan's Twitter Team kept putting them up daily and it had a lot more build-up too, so that's another reason :good

Arum Agrees: Alexander-Bradley on The Pacquiao Road

"Absolutely [the winner would have merit]. Of course. That merits some consideration. It would of course depend a lot on how good the winner looked in the fight that they had with each other. But absolutely, assuming that they looked good, I would definitely consider either one of them for that fight," Arum said.

"Instead of putting it in a high-visibility location where they would draw a significant crowd, I think that they buried the fight by putting it Pontiac. "Amir wants to fight the winner of Bradley-Alexander," Schaefer said. "And the date we are anticipating is July 30. "I've got this flu. I'm trying to get out of this flu bug. That's not good, but I'm still going to fight, though. No excuses. “It’s a fight that has been longing for a couple of years and ripening. Now it’s ready to happen. My hope is that two fighters resumes that they’re more pure boxer than brawler and somehow the magnitude of the event and the importance of it to them ignites a crowd-pleasing fight. “King hasn’t had a serious heavyweight for a long time. I guess the mere fact that he still has a few fighters that might achieve something important is in itself a surprise. Although you never counted him out, King hasn’t been a heavyweight in the promoting business for quite sometime, much less promoting heavyweights. I remember he had Cory Spinks, from St. Louis, and rode him for a while. Quite frankly I’m hoping that Alexander doesn’t turn out to be that kind of a fighter. First, second, and third priority is to not get hit.”

“I like Timothy Bradley because he has an aggressive attitude if not an aggressive style. I don’t know if he is as skilled as Alexander but he has a real good sense of what he needs to do in the ring. He always comes in supreme condition and he remains a hungry fighter. “I really can’t tell. Some guys shrug it off. They think it is part of how they have to market themselves and promote a particular fight. Maybe that suggests that each of them is confident in their abilities, at least on the surface. But I’m sure each of them also has questions about himself and knows that they are going to provide answers not just for us but for themselves in this fight.”
