This is the second time I've seen Vasquez. I was a little unappreciative of his skill when I saw him against Tach. But Tach is a beast and I like what I see.

    Round 10

Vasquez is launching right hands up top and gets hit in the nuts again. :patsch Felix is sternly lectured by Robert Byrd, yet escapes without another point being taken. Time in. Vasquez is chasing after Felix, left arm low, waiting until the last second to flip up a blinding jab and then chop with the right. Felix is leaning back but still getting caught with those probing right hand chops on the face. Vasquez is stretching out his jab into the air, taking aim while Felix bounces around the ring, zigzagging. Vasquez jabs his way in and then skitters out when Felix shows a counter. Body shot whipped in by Vasquez. Felix dives in with a 1-2 on the body and Vasquez counters with a left hook. Vasquez is pressuring Felix steadily, impressive for a smaller man (and using that daredevil no-guard stance) who also happens to be the lesser puncher and more of a volume guy.

    10-9 Vasquez

    98-91 Vasquez

I think Roy is blind. That was below the belt.

I'm not listening to Lampley, but Sheridan & Merchant also think it could be close.

I don't see how, really. A couple of the rounds I gave Vasquez might've been arguable going the other way, but he is clearly winning.

Vasquez up 97-92 on my card. Makes you realize how much of a beast Uchiyama is, doesn't it?

Underrated scalp for Uchiyama. I said before, during and after that match, Vasquez is a good boxer. No world-beater, but a good boxer.
