Valenzuela is pawing jabs, meeting Lopez on the Cerveza Tecate logo. Punches in bunches from Lopez, working straight power combinations off the jab and jacking Valenzuela's head around, shaggy mop of hair set flying. Clinch. Break. Valenzuela is scooping right hands into the ribs dipping forward but leaving his face exposed. Lopez climbs the ladder with a dusting of shoeshine punches on the chest finishing with a left hook on the chin.

Valenzuela is sticking his jab in and turning his face away, getting nailed with the 1-2, paying for his lack of fluidity on defense. Valenzuela is getting hit 3:1 but scoring with a few jabs and body scrubbers. Lopez is very busy, hissing through his teeth with every combination, showing no signs of slowing down.
