Round 1

Consistent exchanges in the middle of the ring. Kahn Clary is working the right jab relentlessly into Perez's nose and following up with the left uppercut just above the groin as Perez needles him with the orthodox 1-2. Fairly even in connect stats, Kahn Clary a bit sharper.

Round 2

Kahn Clary is ducking in and working the left uppercut on the body and leaning deeply over to one side while pecking high with the right jab. Perez is thrusting his left jab into Kahn Clary's chest and hurling overhand rights up top. Still nonstop action. More movement from Kahn Clary, but still very willing to brawl. Hooks on the waistband by Perez.

Round 3

Kahn Clary is brushing aside Perez's jab with the back of his right glove and working combos off the left hand lead. Perez is drumming on the body and giving Kahn Clary the octopus treatment up close, pinning him on the ropes and scoring the overhand right above the ear. Kahn Clary steps back and tries getting off in combination but Perez is smothering him, then reeling away in straight lines with his chin down to make Kahn Clary miss the straight left.

Round 4

Kahn Clary is swapping uppercuts on the stomach with Perez, standing dead center on the Cerveza Tecate logo. Both landing at equally high a clip but Kahn Clary a bit faster and having more effect, also finding the chin of Perez a bit more with his left uppercut while nearly all of Perez's touches are soft rubs downstairs.

So far we've seen an exciting whitewash showcase blowout and now an exciting match-up that was fairly competitive in the first half but in which T-Nice is now taking over. We could get a KO.

 

Round 5

Perez is warned for holding and hitting. Reiss instructs the corner that it was a flagrant foul and he is lucky not to have a deduction outright. Kahn Clary is landing uppercuts and overhands aplenty, ping-ponging his skull around, with Perez mushing his face into Kahn Clary's façade, attempting in vain to hold or stave him off with light body combos. A point is taken from Perez for holding.
