Worth noting: Chavez has never won a decision, and Quintero, though he's 2-4-1, has fought almost exclusively against unbeaten prospects (and has some majority decisions in there)

I just said Chavez gave Verdejo a solid fight (in Verdejo's debut), but Quintero is looking better here. Chavez has been really inactive.

    Round 4

Quintero is standing upright and blocking Chavez's intermittent double jabs as the shorter man darts in. Quintero leans in and scoops in left hooks on the body. 1-2 by Quintero, hitting the lowered arms of Chavez but forcing him back a few steps. Quintero busier, Chavez shying from the task a bit.

    10-9 Quintero

    39-36 Quintero

He was off for eighteen months (and twelve months before that, after Verdejo) but he fought two weeks ago, the same date on which Quintero last fought, so they are technically equally fresh...

    Round 5

Chavez is pressing in and flurrying. Quintero is working off the long jab, lifting it from his left hip and extending it backhanded. Quintero is stretching out the jab on the body while keeping his face withheld beyond Chavez's reach. Chavez is leaping in with jabs and then clapping the back of Quintero on the inside with short wraparound rights.

    10-9 Quintero, close

    49-45 Quintero

I meant he's been inactive in general, only 4 fights (including this one) since December 2012. He shouldn't have taken off so much time, but we don't know about these boxers personal lives though.

    Round 6

Quintero is jabbing and missing as Chavez steps back quickly. Chavez dashes in with a tomahawk left on Quintero's temple and then clinching and using both fists in unison, massaging Quintero's waistline. Chavez waiting on Quintero, sensing nothing coming his way and running in to pelt him downstairs with roundhouse lead rights as Quintero brushes the back of his skull with jabs.

10-9 Chavez, messy round but he wanted it more.

    58-55 Quintero

I thought 5th was clear for Chavez, he had a great start and then the remaining minutes were close-ish to give Chavez a pretty good edge due to how he started.

6th I gave it to Quinteron.
