isnt it about time, that he is mentioned as a top 10 p4p fighter..? im very very impressed by him and his ability. some might laugh, but ill give him a good chance against pac, perhaps he wouldnt win, but i´ll comfortable state, that he would present more difficulties then hatton and cotto did.
Top 10? No... that's reserved for only the most elite fighters. Timothy is world class, but I wouldn't go calling him a top 10 p4per. I don't think he'll ever actually achieve that status to tell you the truth.
Bradley could definately be a top 10 p4p fighter. Caballero was top 10, and he's not as good as Bradley.
Mmmmaybe with a win over JMM or something like that. But I'm not putting any money on that. I think he lacks a little something physically to compete with the best of them. Small guy, not much power, and I don't trust his chin either. Those kinds of things might set him back as he fights better and better opposition. I'm not talking **** mind you, I like the guy. I'm just venting my personal opinions of how far he can go in this sport.
Bradley is the best at 140 by far (obviously, I'm not counting Pac), but it's far from a stellar division. I don't know about pfp, but he could dominate the division for years .
If he's matched right, and if Pac vacates the divsion, he could be the dominant man at 140 in about a year or so. That's a very real possibility. :nod
I think his run of wins has been as good as Chad Dawson who seems to make every list. Bradley is a very good fighter. I don't think it's a stretch at all to pu him in the top ten.
140 is packed with good fighters and i am so excited to see how that division plays out. i've been repeating myself in a lot of threads, but man bradley's feet are ridiculously fast! his ability to close the distance and get out of harms way is phenomenal! lamont peterson had all the advantages in height and arm length, but was still getting dominated on the outside by bradley. he had some early success on the inside in the mid rounds, but when bradley adjusted it was over. he has some weaknesses on the inside, but can adjust. great, great fighter. did anybody else find it ridiculous that hbo didn't mention him on champions/notable fighters in the 140lbs section? they mentioned andreas kotelnik who isn't even a belt holder anymore, but not bradley? come on man! hbo needs to get the ball rolling on this guy. he is the goods! my only complaint is that he lacks a little bit of pop in his fists and the fact that he came out to christian hip hop...LOL
I dont see why Bradley couldnt be top 10 p4p.... the lower top 10 of the p4p rankings are 6 - Donaire 7 - Cotto 8 - Caballero 9 - Dawson 10 - Williams Exactly how and why could one not rank Bradley at 10? maybe have 8 - Dawson 9 - Williams 10 - Bradley at least in a few more wins like this one..... no question hes top 10 p4p IMO. And i also think he would be a nightmare for Pac.....
Bradley is a Showtime fighter, so HBO is going to act like he doesn't exist. Once Bradley builds himself up enough, HBO will steal him away from Showtime.
The only guys who I think you have to put ahead of Bradley right now are: Cotto Dawson Donaire Hopkins J.M. Marquez Mayweather Mosley Pacquiao Williams That's nine. The other guys, besides Bradley, that are in the discussion after that: Abraham Adamek Bute Caballero Calderon Darchinyan Hasegawa Haye John W. Klitschko V. Klitschko Martinez Pavlik Ward There are plausible arguments to be made for putting Bradley near the top of this second list based on recent accomplishments, not to mention his impressive physical attributes and markedly improved boxing technique. While I would probably not make him 10 on my P4P list, I'd probably move him into the 11-15 range.
Wow, I didn't get to watch the HBO broadcast. That's pretty unbelievable if they didn't mention Bradley in that discussion. Outside of Pacquiao, who likely won't return to the weight either at all or for the next couple fights, Bradley seems clearly the best when combining talent and resume.
