Anyone know anything about this guy? Does he have a chance against Witter? I have to admit that until the match was made I'd never heard of him. Cool nickname though.

He has a high work rate and can box when needed mostly though fights, but he will need his boxing skills for his chance of victory.

Bad chin though which is what you need facing Witter, which is why Witter is a a very low showing of 1/8 odds.

I did just checked out his boxrec page. Don't recognise many of his opponents, but they seem to have a good win-to-loss ratio. Not a massive banger, but a bit of power. Don't like the look of the fight odds though; bookies are rarely wrong.

I wonder if this is why Witter took the fight?

Similar height, similar reach - but lower KO ratio. Rumour is that he likes to have a fight rather than a chess match (Hatton again!) - so in theory sounds a pretty smart move.

Just been told he won easily against an opponent who Lazcano was lucky to get the decision against.

I wonder if he will keep tucked up and pour the pressure on down the stretch when Witter starts to tire? ala Kotelnik

    ????

Kotelnik's plan was to defend for so long that Witter would just use all his energy, then try steal the fight, Witter knew he won the fight that he could hold out.

If Witter didnt get so negative he could have probably kept on winning more rounds.

    I know what you mean.

If i was Witter i would try and fight Urango and see if i could do a number on him, try for a stoppage. Try to improve on Rickys performance against him.

the fact is witter will fight every mandatory no matter how pointless or poor just so he keeps his belt, bcoz without it he hasnt got ****,if he beats bradley&seriously expects to fight hatton he'll have to fight torres next in a unification.

Witter should move to welterweight, that would give him the more recognition, he should try and get a Cintron fight made.

If Cotto was willing to fight Witter (WItter was offered a fight at short notice but refused), I cant see why a Cintron fight cant be made.
