I've been cutting down on carbs. I drink a lot of milk and eat a lot of fish, nuts and fruit. Lost body fat and put on even more lean muscle. Been trying hemp protein but it's absolutely foul! Milk has given me the best gains, I swear down. Being a European Brit though I think we process, digest and make use of milk better as we have drank it for so long and our guts have adapted somewhat.

Good point but I also thought he only went vegan just for the fights, in between he east regular food.
Some Vegetarians will eat grilled chicken and fish

Avoiding lard, beef fat, Etc isn't exactly easy either. I don't eat a lot of dairy myself (allergic), but both benefit from short term energy.

For a short period of time trying to lose weight. It works. Most meat has some fat. Cutt down the fat losing weight becomes easier. This is the phlophsoly behind Bradley's vegan training diet. He's smart enough not to make this his lifestyle diet. You have no source of vitiams D & B6 & B12.

This. I eat a ton of carbs because most of my exercise is biking and heavy bag. I have energy, which allows me to train, which keeps me fit. I'm 36 and wear one waist size higher than when I was in college.

No way could I go vegan, though. I love me some steak, chicken, and sushi.

A vegan diet is not suitable for ****. The no meat = no power thing actually has some truth to it. The difference I had between eating a vegan salad vs. a chicken salad was HUGE!

I had a vegan salad and had pretty good stamina for the course of 8 rounds, but I felt a bit weak. Not strong in my legs or punching power.

When I had the chicken salad however, I wasn't as all over the place with energy as the vegan stuff, but I had my snap back and bullied around guys 20+ lbs more than me.

Although leaner meats take time to digest, when coupled with the right fruits like avocados, they can be the ABSOLUTE BEST source of protein. Not to mention that eating meat promotes a healthy immune system.

    We're omnivores for a reason.

I am a vegan and I feel better then ever. Its easy to get the protein and for fat I eat potato chips and fries.

Fat is the main energy source and many people who eat a vegan diet don't get enough fat, that is why they feel weak.

You do know that vegetarians and vegans eat more than salads right? By the way if it wasn't romaine lettuce you pretty much consumed water.
