This one kind of snuck up... So did the Soliman vs. Bika rubber match on the undercard. (those blokes, a combined 88 years old, started their rivalry NINETEEN years ago, with almost fourteen years passing since they even fought their rematch). Tszyu has a dazzling 2020 but Hogan - even having not competed since 2019 and coming off two losses - could be a banana peel if overlooked.
Expecting Junior Tszyu to annihilate Dennis. If he doesn't, perhaps he's not as good as he's been starting to look. I'd like to see Sakio get the win against Sam. I saw their first fight many years ago in Sam's home state & thought that Sakio won. He didn't get the decision that night. I hope he does tonight to take the series. Not a sure thing though b/c Sam has been the more active of the two of late & has been facing decent opposition. If Sakio shows up in Anthony Mundine shape, he won't win. All the televised fights on this show are decent. The young Super Middleweight, Cesar Mateo Tapia, is very talented. He'll win against Ren Quinlan. Paul Fleming is an undefeated former Olympian but he's up against a guy who is now trained by the current Olympics coach (I think) & who pulled a big upset last time out. I think that guy (Lantry) gets to train with much higher calibre fighters these days & it showed in his previous result against another former Olympian & world title challenger. The Wade Ryan fight is interesting as well. Ryan is like a footballer who is never going to perform well enough in reserve grade to be promoted to the first team but if you put him in the first team he will perform competently & hold his own. What I'm saying there is that he's acquitted himself well against the best in the country (Tszyu, Zerafa & Daniel Lews) but is still capable of losing this one. I hope he wins b/c his willingness to fight the best without hesitation deserves to be rewarded.
Yeah should be a good card mate. I was there the night Ryan fought Tszyu at the Star he is a tough dude and he dropped Tszyu in that fight glad to see him getting more opportunities. Hogan is skilled and has a good chin he was only stopped by Charlo who was much bigger than him at 160. I can see this one going the distance with Tszyu winning a UD. If Tszyu can get the stoppage that is a great statement.
Card starts at 3am EST. Main event I'd wager around 8am EST (which is 11pm Aussie Newcastle time). No clue where Soliman vs. Bika III figures into the picture. Could be anywhere from deep prelims to co-main.
According to the promoters recently released fight poster: There are 3 prelims. Tapia-Quinlan kick off the main card, with Bika-Soliman to follow that. Then Fleming-Lantry. Wade Ryan fight tops the undercard. Then the main event. So somewhere in the middle by looks of it at this stage but who knows until the fights are on.
