I don't know anything about Eddie Perkins but to beat Tippy Larkin he would have to be a pretty awesome fighter..... I cannot pick a winner until I know about Perkins so tell me about him... I already know Larkin was way above average.
Perkins was a really wily guy in there, definition of a globetrotter and really forgotten as well, sadly like so many slim slim footage available. Gotta be considered with the best of the 140 pounders IMO, his amount of losses dont represent how good he was Larkin-Perkins is really interesting to me cause if you didnt have a big punch your chances of getting outboxed and beaten by Larkin grew by a huge amount, but Perkins was damn good and may have been able to get the job done The forums split so far on whod win, I havnt really come to a conclusion either, all I can agree on is itd be close

I know next to nothing about Larkin apart from his stint as one of the best LW contenders in the world. Perkins was a bit of a Jimmy young type for me in that it's impossible to look good against him. I'm gonna take Perkins to edge a close fight or lose a close fight and claim he won.
I saw Tippy Larkin fight. He was the ultimate "classic boxer" so skillful that if you couldn't knock him out you couldn't beat him. For example Tippy outboxed a master boxer Billy Graham winning almost all the rounds. Larkin easily outboxed a great boxer Willie Joyce a few times. Willie Joyce outboxed the great Ike Williams twice I believe and Willie was a better fighter than Eddie Perkins no doubt. So Larkin decisions Eddie Perkins who would HAVE to ko Tippy to win...
