Do it, even if he breaks both hands he's still winning a decision over the limited Ricky Hatton.

If I were you though, I'd bet 7K straight and 1K on Mayweather by stoppage.

Reason being, the 1K will be made up when you win 3K and the chances of Hatton getting stopped are probably 60% or better given the track record and styles, and the Mayweather stoppage bet is 5/1.

So you'd come out with something like 8-10,000 as a win if both hit. I personally am betting 3,000$ on Mayweather straight at -200 to win 1,500 and 1,000$ on Mayweather by stoppage to win 5,000$.

If he doesn't get the stoppage, I still win 500$ rent money.:good

This is a great thread, thanks for posting it. I have been a boxing fan for about 20 years or so but never gambled on it. Had I been 18 at the time I would have put some cash on Buster (after seeing him crush Tony Tucker, I knew he would take out Tyson in the 10th round or so). Of course after seeing him bust up Holmes, I knew Carl the Truth would destroy Tyson too so you can assess my credibility here. :patsch

Any recommendations concerning which websites to use? Of course this assumes you aren't in Vegas, baby, Vegas or Atlantic City, etc. I have made a couple of bets at sports.com but I know there are a lot of other sites out there. I'm curious which sites some of the more seasoned boxing gamblers on here use in terms of odds, track record, etc. I have kids, a fat ass mortgage, etc. so I am not looking to gamble all that much, really only on some of the big fights. Also, because I have a lot of the bad tendencies that the TS mentioned up front. :-( I agree with the poster who said gambling makes the fights that much more exciting (or soul-destroying) to watch. Even if I only have a few bucks on a fight, I get 20x more invested in it.

Do NOT use bodog...it charged me £25 quid and I don't know what for...it doesn't pay out quickly...it doesn't have many lines...**** basically!

If you have never bet before and think you want to have a go...please follow my suggested rules to the letter and you will be fine...no matter what...even if you are really unlucky all the time or if addiction creeps up on you unexpectedly...you will only lose in total 40 US dollars.

Thanks! I'll avoid Bodog like Santiago avoided any chance of winning last night. Any thoughts on who I should use? Thanks again.

I am in the UK - I use bet365 - they are very good and if there's a problem, they sort it out immediately - couldn't fault them in any way.

this test didn't deliver any percentage? it just says

The RockYou scored 20 Peoples, 0 Foods, and 12 Drugs!
You are a cold, calculating individual. You need nothing and no one to survive. Wow.

which is cool, but how to get a percentage?

i don't know, but i got some useful advice which hasn't been posted before.

    - it can help to compare odds on different sites. haye vs mormeck for example was close to being a win/win situation when you compared intertops and bwin. do not bet when your usual bookmaker or what ever site you're using does not deliver good odds for the fighter you prefer. if you discoer this to apply more than once in a while, also start trying other sites.

and be so neutral to not place any high bets on fighters you're a fan of anyway, nor against them because it's hard to measure whether you're oversceptical. it can be done to add thrill to some big fight you're toally hyped for, but it's nothing to do when you're low on cash and want to maximize it.

This guy is a conartist and a liar - you DO NOT get £20 free if you sign up using his code - he gets some money instead for having made a sell!

I have signed up using the code he gav us and I did not get any money off - instead, they took £0.30 off for the transaction!
