Good point. Alternatively a right hook to the body followed by a left to the head. Or, right hook to the body, right hook to head, left to head
i think the cross is pretty overated it's effective agiainst a orthy but i feel the rigth hook can catch your man much easier. when they walk in move to your rigth and left rip with your right.
Oh, really? They would always go down before I even got a chance to try with the left as well. But yeah, the right hook<->left straight combo is very effective.
one thing i like to do is that i either throw a jab to get my opponents attention to it, then slip to right and thow an uppercut, or just slip my opponents jab to right and throw a right uppercut between his hands. also jabs up and down, and then left straight up, works pretty often.
Im a south paw, i dont spar so often, iv always been a boxing fanatic but never took proper training most of what i know is based on instinct when sparring alot years ago and generally against much bigger blokes, all in all which i did pretty well. i always felt that if i took it seriously enough and started from an early age i could do pretty well in terms of a career. Anyways iv been sparring maybe once a week sometimes against my mate he's 198 lbs im only about 152 lbs (sounds crazy but true) generally, the faint to the head and then jabbing or a cross to the body works well. However, with the weight and power difference i still get hit more than id like to when trying to fight in the pocket and target his body (tend to get bullied away). I can hold my own and can cop a hit to the head pretty well (we spar without head gear lol) Any tips on how u would fight this dude. without getting hit too much.
