EVERY interview he whines & complains and claims everyone is ducking him. He wants the top guys (Pac & Mayweather) to fight him when he brings nothing to the table. He wants to be a megastar, but doesn't take the necessary steps to become one & put in the work OUTSIDE the ring. Mayweather was once in that position trying to get the big fights. He did whatever he had to do to generate interest (the "money" persona, dancing with the stars, wwe, etc). Pac & May are at the level where they paid their dues & they're trying to make as much money as possible as they have a few fights left. They are trying to make mega fights. Paul Williams is not a mega fight.

Williams has been taking the necessary fights to pay his "dues". Williams fights tend to be entertaining.

He deserves a chance for big money already.

Anyway I agree with Williams not being a megafight, he simply doesn't have the fanbase.

All Paul Williams does is whine and complain.

When Margarito was going to fight Cotto for a big money fight, Williams whined and complain that hes being ducked. Margo did the right thing and fought him but lost. Margo then asked for a rematch and Williams gave him the cold shoulder with the excuse that hes been there done that and moving on to other things.

After getting schooled by Quintana the first time around, he exercised his rematch clause and gave Quintana the same crappy purse split from the first fight.

When Margo beat Cotto now it is Williams who is crying for a rematch but Margo gave Williams a taste of his own medicine and then Williams cries hes being ducked again.

He's a joke he got his ass whooped by Martinez and it will happen again in a more convincing way the next time they meet.

 Williams does tend to whine. But if he beats Cintron, I think the guy deserves a good pay day.

He's an entertaining fighter but that isn't enough. If your a black american fighter, you got to do more to build interest, it's just the way it is. This is a business. All fighters chase the money, including Williams himself. He simply doesn't bring any to the table. Being an introverted, uninteresting guy is not gonna get you any fans. He doesnt have the personality to be a star, so his only other option is to start knocking guys out & he just doesnt have that type of power. If you dont have power & your not a charismatic guy, you need to be realistic about what kind of career you can have in this game.

He needs to generate interest to get the casual fans to see him fight. The guy has no fanbase. This is a business.

He needs to move to his LEGITIMATE weight class and stop trying to fight little people. Tell that guy to eat a sandwich.

Margarito first went to the commission about the decision, then one that was turned down. He went after Williams for a rematch.

Schooled? That was a 7-5 8-4 fight, far from a schooling.

Of course Williams would want a rematch, Margarito just beat a popular Cotto badly.

Margarito didn't want the rematch UNTIL the WBO wouldn't change the decision. Why should Williams want to gran
The Martinez fight was as close as Pac-JMM, I wouldn't call Pac getting whooped or Marquez getting whooped.

That's really the best move, which is to concentrate being the man at a weightclass. There's no point in flirting with the idea of going to 147. The division isn't even hot anymore.

Weren't him and Goosen holding out for a 50/50 split against Pavlik after Williams/Martinez and Pavlik/Espino? I remember hearing about that, I thought a 60/40 split in favor of Pavlik was fair.

Williams should get a reasonably big fight should he beat Cintron. A rematch with Martinez may not be a megafight, but it's a very meaningful fight that HBO would probably put up decent money for.

    Dear Mr (Hype) Williams,

Rematch and beat Martinez conclusively (many fought you lost the first fight) and then you'll have earned your payday.

    That is all,
