Tired of The Ring Belt

    I've never been a big fan of this glorified trophy. Does anyone realize that there are only 6 Ring Champs? There are really only 3 Ring Champs as Adamek, Pacquiao, and Marquez don't campaign at CW, JWW, and LW respectivley. What kind of belt is that where they are struggling to even crown a champ? Just look at the mess they created at LHW. Dawson is deservedly no.1. However, they have Glen Johnson at no.2. Well that's just great. Dawson already beat Johnson twice so they'll never fight again. To make matters worse, Hopkins and Tarver are ranked 3 and 4. Hopkins will never fight Dawson and Dawson already beat Tarver twice. These rankings make no sense. The Ring has a seriously flawed system.

    I agree that the system is flawed, and in addition I have to agree with the way it's gone at light heavyweight and I'm very frustrated by it personally. BUT, I also think it's still better than the abc titles and I regard it more seriously. No, they often don't have a champion but that's because often nobody has done enough to deserve to be called the linear guy when the title isn't lost in the ring. I find the title much more meaningful in the majority of the time.

    the ring doesn't force its belts on people/ fighters have to man up and fight the best in their division.Is its system anymore flawed then one where champs are forced to pay for a belt.LHW is a mess at the moment full of old timers and young blood very hard to rank.The ring for me is more credible then the abc they haven't ranked chavez jr 1 at jmw or demand a fighter apologize for dropping their belt or created a litany of belt holders at one weight

    Oscar is a business champion, his achievements outside the ring are maybe even bigger then in the ring. GBP is a masterpiece

    ring is flawed but i believe has some credibility, the belt orgs have none

    The biggest flaw(amongst others) is the fact that there are 4 major orgs. These orgs. don't rank other champs which sometimes can prevent good fights from happening. However, they at least force their champs to defend their belts. Ring champs can just sit on their belts as long as they want to. This is assuming they can even win one of the Ring's belts.

    Hopkins should be #1 at LHW if there was any consistancy in their rankings. How can Hopkins be above Dawson in p4p rankings but below Dawson in divisional ranking. They are the same weight. Makes no sense.

    Well Dawson has beaten better LHW comp than Hopkins, while career wise Hopkins has the better wins overall. Winky, Pavlik were not LHW fighters, but Johnson, Tarver, Adamek are/were.

    Before anybody says that Hopkins beat Johnson, yes I know that but that was at 160 and not 175 so that counts towards his p4p ranking and not his LHW ranking.

    Before they had Hopkins above Pavlik in their P4P rankings but then they picked Pavlik to win even though he was going up in weight. Where's the consistency?

    hopkins lately hasn't done **** at lhw and dawson went ahead when he shutout johnson and johnson went ahead by beating mack.Both lately have done more at the weight

    their rankings aren't done by their writers they are done by a pool of writer from different sites and mags
