Confirmed by Cave himself (or whoever runs his FaceBook page) that his fight will be streaming on his page at 9pm local time in Halifax/8pm EST.

 

FWIW, his activity since he was robbed against Escandón counts as maybe semi-retirement at best. His opposition has been semipro level, for certain:

They combine for a 210-107-15 record, and none of them has been top 50 ranked. (until Valencia tonight, I believe)

This is for the vacant WBC International Silver 122 pound title. As of now the WBC has neither Cave nor Valencia within its top 15 rankings at super bantamweight (and they haven't updated the complete rankings on their website in thirteen months, so who knows if either of them is even top 40. Presumably back-end...)

 

Wait, nope, this is some undercard fight.

 

The person filming just walked away from the first round of the co-feature (unfolding now live in the ring) to show Cave in his final preparations backstage. They're going to go live again in a separate video soon.

 

Just listened to ring intros for the bout in progress, except now without the video muted like before...

Some local Nova Scotian fighter making his pro debut at super middleweight. Didn't catch the opponent's name.

 

The guy recording was complaining the whole time about how somebody else will need to hold the cellphone during the fight, because "I'm supposed to be working Tison's corner!"

 

"Where the hell is Matt?!? Somebody find his ass. He needs to be on this, I've gotta be in the corner!"

 

He got "Alex" to agree to do it, but I think Alex is taking a dump first.
