Last weekend, I failed to see Briggs connect with a single punch flush on Vitali Klitschko. I'm wondering, how many boxers have taken so little punishment in 12 or more round fights for the title? Who are they?

Disclaimer: this is not a Mendoza-esque thread to implicitly draw attention to a certain fihgter, but a genuine question.

For both fighters or just 1? There are plenty of shut outs where 1 man barely gets hit. For both you'd be looking for a tactical back peddling fight. Mayweather-Baldomir was a pretty low output. But the lowest is quite possibly Johnny 'the entertainer' Nelson v Guellermo Jones. Nelson was sleeping until 5 miniutes before the fight literally and barely throw a punch in the first 10, he didn't get hit much though either

Jones was hit very little in his prime. Some of his fights should meet this criteria, right?

Toney did connect a couple of times, so perhaps that doesn't qualify. Did Pavlik ever connect really cleanly on Hopkins?

Good call, Hopkins handled the undefeated Pavlik with an unlikely amount of ease. Still, he got hit a few times I think.

What Jones fights are you thinking about? Toney is certainly one, hmm, what about his fight with Richard Hall? If I recall correct, that was pretty damn one-sided.

According to CompuBox, Pavlik landed 108 punches punches to Hopkins 172, which I find hard to believe.

Haye apparently only shipped 64 punches in total against Valuev, most of which would probably have been jabs.

Don't know if I seen that one, I just reckonned he'd have to have some. The fight against Toney at least comes close to fitting the criteria. As does Hopkins-Trinidad.

Even though it was close on the judges' cards, I think DLH hardly landed anything of significance on Mayweather. Neither did Castillo in the rematch. Haven't seen the fight against JMM, but he didn't land much did he?

But CompuBox counts punchess landed on the guard as well, doesn't it? Pavlik was pretty active and threw many punches that glanced off Hopkin's arms, shoulders and gloves, but there was little along the lines of solid blows.

DLH landed solid shots on Mayweather, in many rounds. Particularly to the body (which don't look as spectacular or are as attention-catching), but also to the head.

He had a pretty clean run against JMM though. Extremely impressive considering JMM's form going into the fight.

He did. I only caught a few shots that I landed clearly cleanly though.

Keith Mulllings had an absurdly hard time finding Winky Wright. The jab margin was something like 169-4, and the power punches landed was only marginally better for the underachieving but game Mullings. Now that I think about it, I wouldn't mind eeeing a thred on Mullings in the near future.

Young Griffo and Pedlar Palmer aledgedly fought an exhibition, essentialy a fight, in which neither combatant landed a clean punch on the other.
