Tito finishes Roy within 5

Ok, if this is your opinion with what can happen then I can live with that.
In my view, also theoretically seen, I think Roy must be able to outbox him to a UD

 

i personally have very little interest in this fight because both of these fighters are well past their prime, but think roy will end up knocking tito out later in the fight because of his size and power advantage. i think this is a bad fight for tito to take other than the obvious money factor. if tito wins he has beaten an over the hill fighter, if he loses people will say he should have never come out of retirement.

 

Aaahhhhh the Seniors Tour. Not going out on a limb on this, too many question marks with both men.

1) The fight will probably end before the end of the 5th round. Leaning toward Roy to TKO Tito. Still has some speed and the old "Power is the last thing to go."

2) Tito KTFO Roy before the end of the 5th.

3) I'm 95% sure that this one will not go to the cards and the longer it goes the more likely Roy gets KTFO

 

tito was not comfortable at 154 now moving up to fight at lhw after 2 years of inactivity is gonna be horrible for tito.....yes both are old fighters but at least jones has been active....jones ko mid to late

 

The only really bad fight I have seen Tito in was his fight against Winky , not sure what happened to his relentlessness, it wasn't like he was beaten up, he just couldn't get any punches off, it wasn't just the jab, Tito before his first retirement would have taken the Winky that Vargas barely beat.
I am a big Tito fan, I hope he comes in shape and shows some of his old form. I think this fight would have been very interesting 8 years ago, a lot less interesting now. That said due to size I give the edge to Jones, guess it depends if Jones can summon up his old form.

 

Did any of those who swear Jones is so fa gone even bother to watch his last fight w/Henshaw ?

 

You seem to forget that Tito is well out of his prime, too. Tito is the smaller man and Jones still has superior reflexes and speed. Tito could certainly hurt Roy if he catches him, but Jones won't allow it. He'll paste Tito for a safety first decision win. :smoke:smoke

I can't believe any right thinking individual would assume for a moment that Tito has a chance. Not only is he too small, but he has two years of ring rust behind him and looked completely shot against Winky who is arguably shot himself and who possesses no power whatsoever. Aside from Joppy what power has Tito been able to demonstrate against bigger guys (don't include Mayorga here who stupidly knocked himself out via some silly "one free shot" machismo thing)? None. Are you assuming that Tito has somehow improved with age and inactivity?

Everyone wants to squawk about Jones' glass chin, but said chin looked just fine against Ajamu and Hanshaw, who both caught him flush on a few occasions. In addition, Jones managed to sting both guys every single time they put him on the ropes to the point that they didn't want to engage as the fight progressed. The reality of the matter is that sometimes a fighter takes a year or longer to recover from a bad knockout, mentally and physically. Post-concussive syndrome can last for over a year and is likely as responsible as anything else for Johnson's stellar KO of Jones after Tarver 2.

The simple fact of the matter is that Jones is fighting a rusty, relatively low powered, oversized, old version of Tito Trinidad. This fight proves nothing and is in my view a set up to hype the public for two or three last hurrah fights against guys like B-Hop, Johnson, Dawson, or maybe (God help us here) Tarver 4.

 

I will bump this up when Tito gets dropped at least 3 times inside 6 rounds and it gets stopped. I will put a lot of money on this, easy money! Go get 'em Roy!
