14 Lifetimes for an under-achiever who never makes more than 40 or 50k a year but it's not that much money if you are successful in anyway. It's money that could take 20 years to make but I wouldn't call it enough for 1 lifetime let alone 14...

How much do you make if you think 40k or 50k is "underachieving"?

I was thinking the same thing. That's middle class where I'm from. Right smack dab in the middle too...not lower middle class.

Thats a little high. I think I'd need to see this number corroborated. Cause they couldn't have been banking on too much more then 400k buys. And with that amount of buys after they're done paying tito his cash there isn't much left for anyone else.

In translation of the article, which is not 100% clear on what Jones made.....

Trinidad made 14 million, as his purse was guaranteed.....

Jones purse was dependent on the PPV sales, and rumors are that the PPV sales reached 400K,.....and it is'nt clear, but Jones will take home anywhere from 2 million to 7 million.

I had read other artilce before the fight that stated that Jones was gambling that PPV sales would reach above 500K, which it looks like it did'nt!

......but hey, if Jones made 7 million, thats not a bad gamble at all!

Btw, Felix Trinidad's lawyer in that article is quoted as saying that 400k buys is rather exellent in that the Garden, HBO, and in particular Larry Merchant went out of there way to discredit the matchup and pointing and ridiculing it to be a matchup of two old past there prime geezers in a fight that did'nt mean anything.
