I am in a heated debate with friends on this topic. Won't say which side I'm on, but who do you give a better chance at beating Oscar, and why?

Yeah you have to really specify if you are talking about a few years back at 147 or 154 or if you are talking about today.

Back then, Tito obviously, I mean he even has an official win on DLH although that is debated.

Today, assuming DLH and Trinidad meet at whatever catchweight, I still say pacman has the better chance. Pacman has speed and is an active fighter. Dont get me wrong pacman's chances are very slim but also the possibility that it goes as a sparring session and pac gets a close suspicious win.

Trinidad, no matter what weight him and DLH meet at, as far as today, DLH boxes his ears off. Trinidad has been away for too long and is too slow now. DLH has been more active than trinidad and has more left in him than Tito does now.

    as of today?

Lets say between Tito boiling down to 160 and fighting Oscar at MW or Oscar boiling down to 147 and fighting Pac at 147, then Pac has the better shot.

To me, Trinidad ABSOLUTELY has a better chance at beating him (I was referring to today). Trinidad still has power and has not shown any real stamina problems, ergo, I think he beats DLH, or at the very least, he has a better chance than Pacquiao who has virtually no chance.

Meaning, assume for a moment that DLH-Pac were not fighting this weekend. Assume there was a fight set up for Feb or March. Who has a better chance of beating DLH--Trinidad or Pacquiao?

Tito...DLH already "ran" from victory once and would get knocked out trying to be "tough."

Trinidad in a mismatch. Because I've seen pics of him recently and he looks like a heavyweight. :D

Seriously, at what weight? If it's 147, i think Pac has a better chance and no way can Trinidad reduce to that weight level without damaging his body. At 154, DLH edges Tito by reason of Oskee's more recent activity in the ring. At 160, I'd lean towards Trini as he would not have to reduce that much while Oskee had never been effective at that range anyway (Sturm "win" notwithstanding)...

At a reasonable weight, say 154 or 160, I'd say Tito has a vastly better chance than Pac at welter.

At this stage of his career, de la hoya is so beatable. Against a top fighter like Manny, I see Manny outboxing him.
