According to Dana White, Machida initially agreed to the fight however reneged on the agreement after stating he wanted, "Anderson Silva" money. Tito called back and accepted the fight. If Tito wins he's right back into the mix!!

That and I think he's FINALLY got his back in order. Styles make fights and Tito (prime Tito anyway) has a great style to beat a majority of LHW fighters. Interesting to see how the momentum will play out.

I think somewhat that played a big role in the first fight that hasnt changed is Tito is much bigger. Watch that 1st fight Tito is much taller and looks like hes fighting a Welterweight.

I much prefer this fight and I think for Tito this is win-win as its a short notice fight and with his popularity back up I doubt he would get cut should he lose (barring a snoozefest fight).

    Tito ftw

Exactly, he would've negotiated another fight even if he gets beat, Dana wld be happy to comply given the short notice.

Regardless of this result, Tito will now get two more UFC fights barring any major injury or blow up.

I have as much interest in this fight as i have in pop music... :verysad

I'm sure Rashad will take him down and control him for 3 rounds... if this is a 5 round fight then i will make sure i have my knitting kit at the ready :deal

I'm backing the Tito hype train completely. Evans is a nice guy but he never won the first fight and he needs to pay for his lay and pray :yep He can come back following a defeat.

Tito is a big man, he needs to go get him! He knows he can beat him and he knows his chin can be dented.

    HYPE TRAIN - ALL ABOARD!

Kid, I don't know which Tito fights you watched but in his hay day he was anything but boring. When Tito took you down, he was out to hurt you! GnP 101. Elbow after elbow. His ground and pound was NASTY! Watch him when he was younger. I was never a fan either but Tito Ortiz has won my heart and ALL ABOARD THE TRAIN!!!

maybe my 2 least favorite fighters fighting one another, but, as much as i dislike tito, watching some of the older guys still have some decent showings is nice

makes up for all the old guys getting curbstomped
