Because, at the time, he hadn't won a fight in five years, and his last win was over Ken Shamrock.

If they fight 10 times, Bader wins 9 IMO. Tito caught him and rocked him. I don't think he could repeat that.

Probably both but more nervousness. I've done that before -- spoken funny when presenting in front of people and was nervous, words don't come out right sometimes.

Some people have a way with words. Others not have way.

yeah but he had a draw w rashad and a split loss to forrest in that time, decision losses to lyoto and hammil, and a tko loss to chuck. all of those fighters are good and all are former champs except hammil. who exactly had bader beat?? lil nog is a very good win and ws over maghalese and jardine are kind of good i guess....
facts were that tito, tho off a layoff, had been competitive in multiple fights against very good competition while bader had beaten 1 top lhw and had a couple of ok wins. again, i don't see how so many thought tito was just gonna get steamrolled and had no chance

as i wrote above, tito wasn't exactly getting ko'd by mid tier lhws (and the only loss to a mid tier guy was hamill)... bader still hasn't established himself as an elite lhw and definitely had even bigger holes in his game at the time... 1/10 to tito at that time is too low but that's just my opinion

Sadly, Tito always talked more than he fought. Undoubtedly a good competitor who fought the best but he wasn't this unstoppable engine that he was made about to be.

Agree slightly, but he isnt no Chael Sonnen. The guy ate some hellacious right hands from Chuck and he had heart imo
