UFC fans are ****ing ignorant. This guy although infamous for his stupid comments has been a servant to this sport and was once the poster boy of the UFC. These muppets though were giving him hell on his way to the ring. Half of them have probably never even seen Tito fight. Was good to see Ricco Rodriguez in Tito's camp and looking in great shape. Pretty sure this is Tito's last fight in the UFC. He hasnt won a fight since he beat Shamrock for the third time 4 years ago. If he didnt keep putting his foot in it he may have had a decent job as a commentator....
Just because he is right doesn't mean he is on a crusade against the UFC. The only thing I disagree with is that he never had a chance at doing a decent job as a commentator. Too stupid for that.
Of course i am. Thats why iv purchased UFC PPV's. Buy UFC merchandise and attend UFC events including Expo's and fights. I call **** how i see it. Bottom line is those fans were ignorant. They gave Tito hell on his way to the ring. And for what? Most of them are probably not even aware of how much of a servant his been to this sport. He may be a ******** but he's earnt his stripes. And was certainly influential in getting the UFC where it is today.
:good They've probably only seen the Tito getting smashed by Chuck and TUF. Tito was the poster boy and his HBBB persona was huge in earlier UFC
Yes its quite safe to say if it wasnt for Tito those ****ing drunks would not be sitting in those seats last night.
I think Scurla is meaning the new age UFC fans not MMA fans. Out of the people I talk MMA to about 2 or 3 know about Pride and other organisations exist and the majority only know who the UFC tell them to know. Like Jimmie says without Tito UFC wouldn't be where it is at today. I dislike Tito and he is a controversial guy but he deserves a lot of respect for what he has done for the UFC. He was basically one of the guys it was built off and those clowns booed him. The Koscheck reception was justified though
I dont think Tito can complain about a lack of respect to be fair *does the gravedigger* Joking aside he is one of MMA's pioneers, but has always revelled in the bad guy role. You reap what you sow
Like tito hasn't always been a guy people love to hate? Titos a bonehead Scurla is simply an annoying contrarian who can't form actual opinions.
His last win vs someone other then Shamrock was Forrest Griffin back in 2006...Time to go Tito but with his big ego he might stick around a little longer
Tito was extremely good for the sport. He was the first "Personality" and draw the sport has had and really paved the way for the sport to be marketed and develop in the rapid fashion that it did. The sport (that he helped develop) has simply passed him by. That's it, he dominated back in the day by doing 1 specific thing. and for the record, he had some of the best and viscious GnP in history....it was really beautiful to watch him just **** people up with elbows inside their guard. He was able to do this against the fighters back then, but the caliber of fighter has risen tremendously since...and he has also slowed down at expense of wear n tear and injuries. I never bought into the "Bad Guy" persona....it was/is obvious he did that to sell fights. We all saw him on the Ultimate Fighter the first time and he came across as a really great guy actually. I don't think it's sad to see him losing nowadays, because I don't feel bad for anyone who has shared the success he has doing what they love....god knows I have not bee that fortunate. But it isn't fun for me to watch him losing like this. BTW, that situation with Dana, when Tito backed out of the boxing match. I completely side with Tito over that. Dana turned it into an event on spike where as the UFC was going to make alot of money from it. Tito rightfully wanted a piece, simple. He was right to walk away.
