Tito didn't just have problems with defensive boxers bro. I guess you aren't getting it. One more time..... ready??

Oscar, B-Hop & Winky were all big as or bigger than Tito. Floyd is not. He's smaller, has less power & inexperienced on the level of a prime Tito.
He was faster on his feet, he had excellent stamina & Floyd really doesn't use his jab. Therefore he won't control where Tito decides to go. He won't be able to wait until Tito gasses to make his adjustments cause Tito didn't gas.

You simply cannot compare how Tito fared against big, defensive fighters to how he'd fair against a smaller defensive fighter that has never competed at that level.

Edit: Floyd would break him down?? With what frigging power would he (break him down)?? A prime Oscar couldn't (break him down). How would Floyd do it with less power & less size. That's my point you dudes don't know what the f you're talking about.

Wow, well that flew right over your head. I was talking about Winky's jab and winky's size. No one can use Winky as a reason why Floyd beats Tito, that's just ******ed.

All fighters that beat Tito took risks in beating him, even Oscar who had outboxed him clearly before the infamous "chickendance". All took some on the chin (no homo). Floyd, I believe, would take a lead, but get caught with a short left uppercut by Tito, one of his favored punches. Tito gets bloodied and mostky outclassed, but never more than stunned while Floyd enters survival mode by an incoming Tito that gets stronger as the rounds go by. Tito never a one punch ko artist, but with just once that he connected, he was one of the best combo and finishers in the game. Floyd would avoid most attacks, making Tito reset, but Tito was great at cutting ring off. Floyd had no where near as great chins as Oscar, Winky, or Bhops. Skills my ass 154 Tito was one of the best ever. 147 I give Floyd benefit of doubt, but just cuz a prime Oscar,,Winky did it doesn't mean Floyd would.

That may be why he's adopted a more stationary style above 140, or could be he's doing what works at a higher weight.

Insults make this forum exciting...sometime you have to launch a few bombs

I think his mobility is based off of the opponents he has faced at that weight. Its like when he fought Baldomir at 147, now granted Baldomir is no Tito & cant cut the ring off but he was able to bx and move for a full 12 rounds. Ive seen Tito get dropped numerous times so we know he will go down. Also would you consider Tito a thinker in the ring, he'd have a lot to deal with in regards to Mayweather varied offensive repertoire. I think floyds body attack is highly underrated and is the reason why hes able to break down opponents with not having typical KO power.

I remember in the Mayorga fight Tito getting hurt with body shots...speaking of that fight, that was some epic ****:yep

The punch stats had Trinidad landing only 58 punches the entire fight.:yikes He never landed as many as 10 in one round. Wright landed 262 punches, including 185 jabs. :deal

Yeah, guess it's easy to get carried away on them though. Floyd's body attack is very underrated. He has one of the best jabs to the solarplexes I've seen. Stuff like that eats your energy.

I don't recall Tito getting too hurt to the body from Mayorga. I do recall Tito dropping Mayorga with body shots on a couple of occasions.

But that fight! Was my ex's first foray into tito. Alll she knew was from what I've said about him. One sided beat downs are rarely exciting, but this was one (as was Mayweather vs. gatti or Corralles, Shane vs. Margarito, etc..).

I already conceded that particular point. Also Floyd has moved up more weight classes than Tito and I dont see him struggling with larger fighters. Numerous fighters throughout history have moved up in weight and didnt have problems with bigger fighters.

Floyd doesnt use his jab? He has arguably one of the best jabs in boxing.:huh

Also if you seen an earlier post of mine you would have read that it isnt fair to say Floyd wasnt as big as Tito then on the other hand say Tito wasnt as big as hopkins and winky which is why he lost.

Fact remains what did weight have to do with Trinidad not being able to get past a Jab? Winky only had 6 ko's at that time and the fight ve Tito was his first fight at MW. Tito had more fights at MW at the time he fought Winky...I think that point is null & void.

I think its that he has finally mastered the sweet science to where fighting close is what can get the job done for most of the fight because he always lands more. No use boxing and moving when you have a guy who is 1 dimensional infront of you. I also believe he still has his legs but against his recent opponents moving backwards hasnt been necessary. But his legs look fine when walking opponents backwards

Sure, But one can believe ANYTHING they want about a fighter, and justify his not doing it. As it stands, we can only judge Floyd by what we've seen.

Hurt in the sense that he was effected by it, I havent watched the fight in a long time but I remember the announcers ( i think it was RJJ, letterman and merchant) mentioning it once or twice. I do remember the body shots Mayorga took....that was a classic beat down. The orange hair mayorga had added to the flare of the punishment:yep

Also the Gardem was crazy hype for that fight. The atmosphere was insane, wish I couldve been there.
