I was a huge De La Hoya fan, so no, he didn’t.

I'm a big fan of Tito and yes, he was a great fighter but I also think he clearly lost to Oscar and I really think Ike Quartey would have beaten him. He was downright dominant at 154 with great wins against Reid and Vargas. Hopkins is simply an atg and a natural middleweight so I can't knock Tito too much considering he was two weightclasses above his natural weight when he fought BHOP.

It took me a minute to even recall where I’d heard that name before. Trinidad is forgotten today. Rightly so.

What do you have against Felix Trinidad? The man had a great career, fought with a crowd pleasing style, was involved in some exciting fights, and always fought his heart out even in fights he's losing. He was also classy guy out of the ring as well.

He was a fraud, relative to his reputation. Complete flat-track bully, one-dimensional fighter. Protected by King, effectively retired at the first sign of adversity. I hate him.

I think he is a little underrated, yes. He was dominant at 154 and got some great wins.. He came up short against Hopkins, but that was up at middleweight against a guy on his way to becoming an ATG. Then he retired and came back ... But never seemed quite the same to me

That’s what happens when front-runners get exposed. They come back if they’re the real deal. They fight Roy Jones in a carnival show if they aren’t.

He is clearly one of the greatest punchers ever, for that alone he should be talked more... we discuss Golovkin here basically everyday and Trinidad is mentioned once every year.

Tito is underrated .... excellent size, speed, heart and exceptional power, two handed ... fifteen tile defenses, defeated a prime Oscar , never lost at welterweight ... moved up to 154 and crushed two champs in Reid and Vargas .. moved up to middleweight and won a version of that crown by destroying Joppy .... a very dangerous fighter .... he didn't just beat guys he ruined them. Insane KO reel victories over Blocker, Campas, Pendleton, Reid and Vargas ...

Yeah, seems personal. When someone says they “hate” someone then it’s usually best to move on as they usually can’t be impartial. It’s odd too if that person is hardly an offensive or hateful character.

You’re on the money though. Great fighter, awesome career, super exciting & at least in my experience, the nicest guy I’ve met through the sport, certainly the most humble superstar. The way you see him in public (and he’s the best with the fans) he’s exactly like that in private. Classy dude.
