Are you actually calling Tito Trinidad a fraud? You fool. Honestly brother I think you need to take a step back, reset and rethink.

Certainly out of place to say you hate Tito Trinidad of all people....

Did you see the words relative to his reputation!? I didn’t just put them there for fun.

& didn’t you just call the Foreman who fought Lyle to be at the peak of his powers? Glass houses.

I said Foreman was in his prime as he looked the same as ever to me - It’s my boxing opinion.
I don’t go around calling world champions frauds I am hyper critical of GF as a boxer at one time I really looked up to GF the man.

You called him a fraud and a slave which is a bizarre take. Read what @ChrisJS has said. Could you break down how he’s exactly fraud?

I get that he didn't mount a successful comeback (outside of the lone Mayorga fight) but, to be fair, he was 40 fights deep by the time of the Hopkins fight. So it's not like he hadn't had a reasonably long and established career by that point. And he never returned in a sustained way. So I tend to think his desire was probably waning. Every career is different.
I get that you don't like him as a fighter, and that's your perogative. You seem like a knowledgeable poster. But surely there are nunances in someone's career, even if you don't rate them, no? There are fighters I dislike or who I consider overrated. But I do try to give credit where I think it might be due.

I don’t know that I consider a 28-year-old fighter with forty fights to his name (many of them one-sided, early finishes) as approaching worn out. That certainly wasn’t the prevailing view of him going into the clash with Hopkins - in fact it couldn’t have been more the opposite. No one was talking about a swan song if he won the MW belt, I can assure you.

As soon as he hit an obstacle he (or Don King) couldn’t overcome, he effectively quit his career. For all intents & purposes, he gave the game away. It wasn’t because he was old. It wasn’t because he was shop worn. He was a front running fighter who caved mentally when the going wasn’t all his own way. His biggest display of heart in any fight prior to Hopkins was against Vargas - not a bad showing of courage, but certainly only a fleeting one. He vastly controlled that fight, with only patches of struggle.

There’s nothing wrong with flattening your opposition but you had damn well wanna back it up with a get-off-the-canvas (both literally & figuratively) attitude if you’re going to be remembered. He isn’t talked about because he wasn’t that kind of man.

Hamed. Trinidad. Even Tyson. These guys never came back from a great struggle. Tyson returned only for money, his heart empty. Hamed was as exciting & unusual a figure as you could ever see in a ring, yet he’s largely forgotten, too. So if we’re asking why a superstar like Trinidad isn’t discussed much, the reason is self-evident.

All the ATGs had that moment when they had to come back like a true champion or have been the underdog and made a statement it’s the true Mark of a great fighter so I guess you can figure out I like Tito, but he’s no all time great. Hall of Famer for sure but he’s not with the legends my opinion.

Someone I put on ignore seems to be really validating that decision.

But as others say, how can you not like Tito? Yes, he had vulnerabilities as every fighter and I'm of the firm opinion that he got a gift against DLH, but the guy would fight anyone and left it all in the ring. And was very exciting to watch. All you can ask for.

And probably gets a bit underrated. Was a monster at WW and SMW.

Someone you put on ignore who you then continue to read? Sounds like your usual logic.
