What has Canelo ever done to make anyone think that he has a real chance at beating Trinidad?

I think Vargas is a better fighter than Canelo. Cotto's brother wobled him, imagine what Tito would do.

 

Tito would have to be favourite as he is the more proven fighter. His superior power, height, stamina, killer instinct as well as dirty tactics would be likely be too much for Canelo.

But Canelo is young and we still don't know how far he could go. He is a better counter puncher, has better footwork, combinations and defensive skills. I could see him out boxing Tito early on, he just has to avoid being overwhelmed by Tito in the later rounds.

 

I can see Canelo knocking down Tito as Tito always was knocked down in fights early but it would end in a brutal TKO on behalf of Tito.

Vargas who is way better prime for prime than Canelo couldn't handle Tito.

PS: what is up with the whole Canelo hype train. He defeated Angulo....

Size and power.

Defense = Canelo
Versatilty = Canelo
Punch Selection = Canelo

Pretty much, everything outside of size and power is in Canelo's favor.

Actually size is the only thing on Canelo's side. Tito was taller. But Canelo's frame is a lot thicker and a lot more muscular.
