i defo fancy benitez by points at 147. but the tito of 2000 (@160) was a different beast altogether to his welter days. he seemed a lot sharper still fancy wilfred in a much closer and exciting fight
I think that the stronger Wilfred at 154 gives more of a chance for Tito to land an accurate ko shot, or something which allows him to finish. At 147 i certainly favour Wilfred, bt maybe i'm nitpicking with the 154 comment, the boxing ability and speed of Wilfred means he should be the favourite possibly at either weight. The only thing that throws me off is this going up against the ropes and countering off them, a man can get dam decapitated doing that **** against Tito Trinidad. So Benitez anyway.
Also, keep in mind guys like Leonard, Duran, and Hearns RETREATED out of respect when Benitez went to the ropes... Benitez UD at any weight
I fancy Benitez in a close but clear decision, I think he`s too good a boxer for Trinidad personally but prime Tito had a tremendous will & kept coming so I dont see Benitez leaving him for dead pts wise, just doing enough to outbox him in most rds, 7-5 or 7-4-1 perhaps.
