McCallum was a clearly superior technical fighter, and had the chin to take Tito's shots plus the power to do a lot of damage. Either a clear but competitive UD, or a late stoppage in a good fight.
I really don't know. I picked McCallum to beat Delahoya on the other thread that Tiger started, and he may well do the same to Trinidad, but Tito would have a good chance here. I give the edge to Mike, but Felix would be no slouch of an opponent.
I agree, but. I can't speak for the others, I do feel Felix would be a handfull, and with that left hand and his relexes he certainly has a chance. I Just think Mike's reach, technical skills, body work and chin, would be too much for Felix overall at 154. Mike seemed to be a middleweight making lmw.
Exactly why I would favor McCallum, but Tito giving him all kinds of trouble or even upsetting him, is not out of the question.
Mike sparred with the Hitman....and survived Julian Jackson's onslaught. So he could take a punch. If he boxes....and goes to the body....I see Mike wearing down Tito, but maybe only getting a UD.
McCallum had better defense and was fundamentally a better fighter. Tito had better one punch power. I pick Mike to win by late round knockout.
Trinidad isn't knocking McCallum out, and he's not oupointing him. McCallum to pick Trinidad apart and stop him in the late rounds, although it could possibly go to a decision in a 12 round bout.
Outside of Thomas Hearns, possibly, no one beats Mike McCallum at 154.He TKOes Tito around the 11th round.
