Tough pick. At 147 Tito was a destroyer. Would have a considerable power and height advantage. It is a different caliber than a drained Spence.
I've got Bud all day. They way Winky and Bhop jabbed Tito's head off, I see Bud doing the same. His jab might just be the best I have ever seen and his defense and counterpunching is other worldly.
I've got Crawford winning aswell but......people are underrating Tito a tad here. The loss to Hopkins was at Middleweight vs top 5 Middleweight of all time, and vs Wright Trinidad was past his best, and again fighting at Middleweight vs one of best defensive fighters of all time. Crawford isn't a defensive wizard like Wright, nor is he a big Middleweight like Hopkins who Trinidad couldn't impose himself on. Crawford hasn't fought any elite punchers like Trinidad in his career, so we have no idea how Crawford would react to getting hit by someone like Trinidad. Who was also a big Welterweight like Crawford is.
Trinidad beat better competition at welter than Crawford. His wins over Whitaker, Deloyhoa ,Pineda, and Carr is better than anyone Crawford has faced . In my opinion no one Crawford has faced is much better than Oba Carr, whom Tito wrecked. A lot of jumping on the band wagon for Crawford . But in my opinion Trinidad was the bigger and better fighter, and would eventually catch and wreck Crawford ....
I might have to go with Trinidad at welter. Tito spent most of his career there and pretty much dominated that class. Took on a lot of great guys who were in their primes ( some past prime too. ) in fact I think he’s a little underrated
Stephen A. Smith was pointing out Errol Spence's car accident were a major factor into Spence's loss to Terrence Bud Crawford, but in all fairness to Crawford, while it was unfortunate for Spence, I do not think the accidents were no fault of Crawford's.
Yeah, I see it the same as you & DP. I'd rank Trinidad higher at WW on a "greatness" list, purely because of his additional depth their relative to Crawford. Felix went 30-0 (probably 29-1 on fair scorecards) & whilst his win resume isn't enough to challenge my top 10, I do rank him as the 14th greatest WW of all time. Discounting the controversial win over ODLH, he still beat a past prime Pernell Whittaker, Hector Camacho, Luis Ramon Campon (who was 56-0 going into that fight), Oba Carr (who was 32-0), Alberto Cortes, Maurice Blocker, Luis Garcia, Freddie Pendleton & Ray Lovato, mostly by KO in 1-sided fights. That's respectable for a guy with a 30-0/29-1 ledger. That said, whilst I'd give Trinidad a very live punchers chance vs Crawford & think he'd do better than Terrence against some common opponents, e.g. I suspect Trinidad would have finished Porter both earlier & in a more 1-sided fight, I think the style match up faces the counter puncher & would make Crawford a narrow favourite, also without much confidence.
Whitaker was WAY past his best and Tito couldn't even finish him. De La Hoya decision remains controversial as myself I actually thought Oscar beat him quite easily. Carr actually dropped him pretty good and while I really like Oba he never won a big fight when it mattered. I think Bud is too cerebral for Tito and also he switch hits very easily which would be a problem for Tito. But I agree in that Crawford has never faced a puncher like Tito so I could also see Tito catching him and getting him out of there.
