Tito vs. Mosley (Prime)

I agree that he is not as defensively sound as winky but his lateral movement is much better than de la hoya. Just because he choses to stay stationery at times does not mean he cant move, mosley is famous for using a myriad of angles with his head movement. I find this statement highly inaccurate.

 

I think Tito takes it. Like you all have said. Mosely is too willing to return fire.

Mosley has a good chin, took everything Vernon could throw at him and endured.. Both fighters undefeated, Shane had too much in the tank, would have been willing to exchange, had the chin to win a UD or a late tko, via sheer volume of punches landing on the nearly non existant defense of Tito Trinidad.

Yeah, Tito has great power, but had no defense. Would be eating punches all night.

 

I agree with Mosley winning @ 147, and Tito winning @ 154

since when has Mosley been a boxer over a puncher???? Mosleys a puncher boxer people, he gets in there and exchanges with you...He is not a runner and he has never fought as a mover..He stands in your face and throws hard shots..With that said...TITO WOULD HAVE RIPPED HIS JAW OFF!...

Trinidad would have a very hard time getting to Mosley, EVEN if Mosley fought in the pocket.

Just look at his fight with Collazo, he was in there with him and made Collazo miss bad. But better example is the 2nd DLH fight where Mosley ducked, bob and weaved and avoided so many of DLH's combos while in the pocket and we all know DLH's hands are lighting years faster than Tito's. Mosley is very underrated in terms of defense. He has problems with exceptional jabbers like Winky, DLH and Forrest, but Trinidad had not the discipline to keep up the jab, he was a hooker.

MAB beat Morales 2 out of 3 times and was annihilated by Pacquiao in the middle of that trilogy. Morales should have had little chance against Pacquiao after losing the 3rd bout with Barrera, right?

Mosley is an extremely controlled fighter. DLH throws more combos and is much much faster than Trinidad. Mosley was able to avoid many of those combinations as he stood in the pocket in their second bout. You think Trinidad can do better than DLH?

If you look at thhe opponents they both fought DLH always did better.

 

The edge in performances in common opponents isn't that extreme at all.

Oba Carr: Tito did better. Tito suffered a flash KD then got up and slowly and systematically took Carr apart. De La Hoya didn't look impressive against Carr and struggled much more than expected.

Yori Boy Campas: Oscar didn't get dropped by a 2-inch punch so he probably gets the edge here, although Tito faced a considerably better version of Campas.

Pernell Whitaker: Tito did much better versus Pea than Oscar, but Oscar fought a better Pea.

Hector Camacho: I haven't seen the DLH-Camacho fight in years. Trinidad-Camacho was an awful fight I might add.

Bernard Hopkins: DLH was more competitive with Bernard than Tito was.

Fernando Vargas: Tito did better in terms of scorecards, winning/losing rounds, and facing a Vargas who hadn't shown signs of being battle damaged in his previous 2 fights like Oscar did. Of course, DLH didn't get dropped and resort to punching Vargas south of the border somewhere along Mexico City
