, former three division champion Felix "Tito" Trinidad is still looking for big fights. A lot of his critics are telling him to walk away, Trinidad says that he stays in shape and is still fully capable of taking on the big fights. he also said that hopkins, mosley, jones are older than him and still fighting..... I agree. besides is not like he was demolished by jones, he did put a good performance.

Tito is old, shot and has been inactive for years. He should retire.

Yeah good performance . . . and what will Pavlik earn in fighting him at this point ???

Pavlik needs to unify with AA or that chicken **** Sturm. :D

I disagree, tito is definitely not shot, I've always said he's been fighting at the wrong weight, tito best weight right now is 160, super middle is pushing it and lightheavy is absurd,if you look at tito's body you'll see he is not a muscular guy,.....he won't stand a chance even with some b class lightheavy's, but trust me if tito can come down to 160 he'll be knocking out guys left and right.

Tito didn't have a big punch at 160 seven years ago. What makes you think he does now?
And he certainly looked shot against Winky.
Tito is great, but there is no point fighting on.

you say "why not?" in the title and then answer the question in the very first phrase of the thread.

True, but it would be even better if Tito helps AA to enhance or even build his status in the US... :D

i dunno about that...he looked about as bad in his last mw fight as he did in his fight at lhw. the man has fought 4 times since recieving his beat down from bhop and that was back in 2001 and now he wants to fight pav? of course he would want the fight...there is nothing to lose by him calling pav out but if i were pav i wouldnt listen

He risks to receive some brain damage after giving it to some of his opponents in the past. He should stay retired but if he wants to be a punching bag he can come back I don't mind.

OLD????........... Are we still using that word in Boxing??????? Tito just turned 36. Isn't Hopkins 44??
Trinidad could definitely a few good fights. But only if he starts training like he is supposed to. Staying in shape???? He wasn't in shape even during the Jones fight. He was fat, soft, and slow. Trinidad could easily make 154lbs and have good fights.

I guess it could be more competetive that Pavlike-Mora.

Go tell William Joppy that. Anyway, Tito went nearly 12, toe to toe with a primed out Hopkins, and also had the balls to take on a prime Wright who had defeated Sugar. Tito needs to get down to either 160 or 168 and start kicking ass again.

Trinidad has heart there is no question about it, but for his fighting style he's old and not effective at the weights he's willing to fight at (although 165lbs seems like a better idea than 170lbs). If he fights Pavlik, why not just go all the way down to 160 and fight for the title? Trinidad would put up a better show than Mora.
