These are two of my favorite fighters of all time, and its going to be sad to see one of them go out like this. Years ago Jones would have absolutely murdered and embarassed him, but unfortunately, this year Jones is the one thats going to be badly beaten. Tito is still young, and I think he was just made to look farther past it then he is by Wrights gameplan and brilliant defense. Wright was the worst possible matchup for Tito. Roy lays on the ropes way too much nowadays and has a very suspect chin at this stage of his career. When he's in the center of the ring he will get off first because he still has his speed, but Tito will push him back and force him to fight off the ropes, a fight that will be welcomed by the suddenly lazy and lethargic version of Roy JOnes. Watch the Glenn Johnson fight and then bet your ass that this will be a repeat. Tito is still a step up from the competition Jones has been facing. He has power, he has heart and he has a relentless fighting style. Jones to lose another by KO.....to a former Welterweight. :deal :deal :deal This content is protected
Your forgeting something, Glenn Johnson had a chin......Tito does not......ecspecially at this weight..... Jones Ko 6
These guys are so shot, I dont know if I even want to see it. at this points its probably a pickem fight. A win for either fighter means absolutely nothing. Leave it to Don King to dig up some old carcases and throw them in the ring to make a buck. Maybe he can put Gerald Mclellan and Meldrick Taylor on the undercard, and Tyson in a prefight exhibition. :good
Jones Jr UD12 Trinidad Glen Johnson is much better and much more proven than Trinidad at this weight.
It will be over 2 and 1/2 years since his last fight when Tito fights Jones so Tito will definitely be rusty (unless he fights a tune-up between now and then) but maybe he's been staying in shape and sparring etc so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now. With Jones suffering some bad KO losses, I can't help but feel that he's lost something and the effects may continue to mount at this point if he's been damaged. Since he has been staying active, I'm giving Jones the edge since I've been able to see what he can do. But it is boxing, so never count the other guy out completely.
I actually feel that Tito matches up quite well against Jones at this stage of their careers. He'll push Jones back against the ropes and land straight rights - it could be another KO loss for Jones. If Jones lasts the distance he could still lose as Tito is likely to throw (and possibly land) more punches in this fight. Or maybe Jones it too strong and will land a perfect punch that KOs Tito. I actually find this one quite hard to predict!
jones is the bigger and naturally stronger man and light yrs faster then tito.jones by ko in about 8 rds or tito daddy will stop it.i dont see tito beating jones at all.im trying to picture it but i cant, jones is just to big and i feel tito would be even slower at that weight. jones might be drained fighting at that weight but i just cant FATHOM a loss to tito at this point or EVER in that matter. i wonder whats next for jones after this fight, maybe a hopkins fight or joe.
