I'm with you in Floyd has the infrastructure in place to build one of the most powerful promotional companies in the business. Similar to what Oscar did when he started Golden Boy. Floyd also benefits from being drug and alcohol free, which can really affect how a CEO runs a company. I again look to Oscar and those fishnet years.

 

TMT could be a great promotional company. We won't know til years to come really. But given Floyds educational skill (reading/writing) and his negative media image, I just don't see it being as big as Top rank or GBP. I'm trying not to be based just honest

It seems to me that Mayweather successfully managed and maneuvered his career to heights that completely blew away all expectations. Including those of the Harvard educated Arum, who let Floyd walk for pennies (relatively speaking). He is the most successful boxer in history and he did it on his own. Mayweather would be the CEO. He would hire law firms and accounting houses to handle the minutia of those parts of the business. He'll have very smart people advising him. Most importantly, is Floyd's networking ability. It's pure gold. Oscar was the Golden Boy and his name was a significant factor in Golden Boy's initial success. Its not like Oscar was a Princeton grad himself. He got all coked out and started wearing fishnets and high heels. And he's still doing well for himself. Floyd can get access and negotiate with anyone in the business. Anyone. That is what will make him money for years to come. Floyd was a great boxer, but YOU CAN'T box your way to a $1/2 bil in earnings. No way. You must understand the business of boxing. He might not be able to spell boxing, but sure as hell understand the business of boxing. I don't care how much you hate the man, ain't no denying that.
