Didn't even realize this was even outdoors till now smh
Exactly, he's like a kid that saw a poster or collectible card (or, uh, JPEG, for the young'uns of this era) of a boxer in a classic pose once and is basing his style off emulating that.
The boxing gods showing us what they think of this entire event, by taking their wrath out on the most legitimate part of it.
Hurd is all size. Arias is landing but just can't hurt the bigger man
Ref letting Arias hit low....often.
...because Jarrett's trunks are hiked up to his nips? Yeah.
Arias face is bloodied
Doesn't look like Arias can hurt Hurd.
I love how hurd always uses his face to block punches. I don't think he will ever improve as a boxer.
Arias had momentum after that strong opener but slipping on the canvas, and the wait to get it wiped clean, sapped him of all of that and now Hurd is drilling him with downward rights (some of them rabbit punches, but that's on Arias for bending over in front of his opponent hoping to clinch around his waist) and some lumpy body shots. Everything from Hurd slow but heavy arm punches. Arias' face a bloody mess. Nice rally late by Arias, but not enough.
Round 1 Arias 10-9
Round 2 Hurd 10-9
Close round, due to Arias hurting Hurd with an overhand late.
Hurd really hasn't looked the same since the defeat, he just seems very tentative not making use of his great engine which is his biggest asset as a fighter and that low left is truly a terrible habit he has developed.
Arias has won the first two rounds but I see him getting stopped. Hurd is way bigger and his punches are doing more.
2 - 0 Arias
Jfc, how high in weight would Hurd have to climb to not be a weight bully? Bridger??
He looks twice Arias' size.
