Does Al Haymon have his finger prints all over this? Any doubt in 50 Cent being the brains behind this operation?

    Thoughts???

I'm not jumping to conclusions (I hope this turns out well for boxing)...But I wonder if 50 forming this promotional company, just extends Al Haymons hands throughout the sport such that, more fights could be made (which is great).

Since Al Haymon is not a "promoter", hes neither here nor there in boxing. He could have potentially had 50 get involved with the sport, get a promoters license, to basically make life easier for Al Haymon in terms of match making. In this way, theres probably a slightly smaller probability that Al Haymon has more terrible 1 sided mismatches on HBO showcasing his higher skilled fighters against tomato cans.

It shifts the power in boxing even moreso into his hands. These fighters may not get paid as much as Al Haymon fighters are typically paid, since 50 Cent is in the mix, he will be getting a piece of the pie.

I think Al will remain behind the scenes as he's been doing but he had a hand in TMT.

The sad thing is, I really do expect fighters associated with this Al Haymon festival to get paid a whole lot less now that 50 is involved.

still not sure Al is involved (I would think he was consulted). Al is still going to work with Golden boy he is doing big things over at showtime now plus Golden boy has the most TV dates. The head of showtime boxing is somebody golden boy put there. Dont see why Al's fighters would get paid less now?

In discussing with someone that knows their **** about boxing, they said that theres only 1 man powerful enough to sign these many fighters this fast, and in doing so would only be possible if they were guaranteed a platform (hbo)....And the only guy that could guarantee this and pull signatures from these many fighters would be Al Haymon. 50 Cent, just coming into the game could NEVER accomplish that on his own.

I by no way am minimizing 50 as a businessman. But theres only 1 guy thats powerful like this in boxing, and thats Al Haymon. At least initially my curiosity pokes at the fact that this really is a good scheme moreso on Haymon's part. But I respect the fact that 50 isn't being a chump either and hes in on it for his own benefits in using his own smarts. I just fear the **** that comes out of this such as more Al Haymon HBO cards showcasing his skilled fighters against tomato cans. That is all I'm trying to discuss. People are thinking that this is amazing for boxing right off the bat, and thats blissfully ignorant. I'm just waiting to see whats up, I hope some good can come out of this, but I'm skeptical to see what Al Haymon makes out of all this. He is DEF involved with the strings here.
