Given what's happened to some of these fighters, this appellation seems to make sense: http://www.boxingforum24.com/showpost.php?p=16494511&postcount=35 What do others think?
Yeah, there seem to be a lot of glass-jawed fighters in their stable. And perhaps more to be revealed.....?
With all his pull in the boxing world you'd think Mayweather could get a few decent fighters to sign with him. I mean why is his promotional outfit so poor. Love just got smashed, Jack destroyed in a round, Bey will loose again to Vazquez. Honestly people say he'll make money after boxing, not with a stable like that he won't. Not one of them is world class or will be a world champion.
They are far from poor, just not elite level pros. I do not think a stable has ever been constructed that was full of elite fighters. This is a tough sport that has global participation, at least compared to most and expecting a promotional company in it's infancy stages to have a dominant impact is unrealistic. With that being said I am hardly a fan of the whole TMT dynamic.
A number of them simple aren't ready for TV, others think they are the next Mayweather. I dare say that if they were themselves they would be better fighters rather than trying to be something they aren't. It's pretty embarrassing that these guys are being put on TV and are either boring audiences or being stopped
:think It takes time to build a strong stable. They had some decent talent and prospects but thats it. Don`t Cotto and Alvarez also have promotional companies? Even if they have a "poor" stable they have done pretty well. Their fighters are getting title shots, get to fight on TV regularly and are talked about. At least the management is decent.
Not to mention there are other promotional companies that have fighters tied up. Its not like everyone is a free agent. People just hate anything associated to floyd
