I think if TMT might actually work. They can play the "Villain" team. They can play the "black fighters with attitude" card from the Mayweather book.
This ******* very butthurt lately having heard the news that TMT are signing some very good prospects.
Judah and Billy Dib are not what I would consider "prospects". Nor are they what I would consider "good".
That works for a couple guys, but having the WHOLE group play the villian? That's a terrible idea dude. Sounds like you want some type of pro wrestling type inspired squad of heels.
Anyway: Dirrell - unreliable and not in good standing with TV companies Berto - coming off a loss and currently in limbo after cheating Judah - end of his career Dib - unknown Caballero - unknown Only decent one they've got is Gamboa. Hardly a stable that'll make GBP and TR shake in their boots. Most of them are fighters that promoters/TV companies don't care about or have seen no worth in them. It's a good start, but it'll be some time before we should be getting excited about TNT.
Judah is a name that can still get bums on the seats. Imagine Zab V Mallagnagi for the WW title:deal It sells itself. **** I should be a promotor. Billy dib is an australian across the pond and I think holds the IBF title, australians are huge boxing fans, so they are tapping into demographic right there. At 26 if floyd see something in him you better take notice. Direll, Gamboa, Berto and Caballero have a bright future in the sport. Good start for TMT.
Shows how much you know, Direll sat down with Kery Davis vice president of hbo in his power meeting with 50 discussing his bright future under HBO:hi: Berto is coming off a loss and? So is your daddy Pac. His drug cheating will be put to rest once he takes extra testing in future fights and passes. Judah veteran that still can put bums on seats. Dib, champion, big market to exploit in australia. Cabellero, bright future, how far he wants to go in the sport is up to him.:deal
Davis will look at one thing, that's ratings. Yes, it's good he met w/ FIFTY and Dirrill, but that doesn't mean Andrre wil headlins jack sahit as of now. They just met, so chill out.And Judah can put some butts in the seats....in NY, and just barely. He's on his last hurrah right now.I know your ***** got wet from all the TMT news, but slow the **** down. I can see you and the other Team Gay idiots already high fiving and having Down Low parties just off the news or formation. It's one thing to form and attract certain individuals, it's another to sell the product on a consistent basis.
No Davis will look at keeping floyd happy. HBO is in a position where they have to keep floyd happy for now considering schaffer was making a power move to have floyd fight on SHOWTIME. Whether that would have happened we will never know. But one thing for sure that is what Schaffer was planning. It is in HBO best interest for now to play ball with floyd for as long as he continues to fight. Where else can they guarantee 1 million ppv buys?
Guys enough with this dib etc cant sell tickets every fighter on a promotional banner stable cannot be ppv attractions like mayweather pacquiao
Floyd is only here for a few more fights. Don't you think everyone's aware of that? Besides, floyd cares about MONEY, getting the big payday. If HBO doesn't care for Andre's fights, think FLoyd wil threaten to go to the cable network with SMALLER pockets? HEll no. He'd most likley just let Dirrill fight where ever he can get on.
I don't want a pro-wrestling script when I watch boxing, I just want to watch the best fight the best, but perhaps the casual fan, and Hip Hop moron will eat it up.
Smaller Pockets. You forget who behind the scenes in all this Al Haymon, check his resume. Showtime would jump at the chance to make floyd happy. You don't understand how this game works. Arum know's how it work as does schaffer, remember when Arum took Pac over to showtime. HBO soon begged to have him back.
You have them fight in cities with large black populations ATL, Memphis or DC and they will sell out or come close to it. Lets not pretend that every Mexican fight in LA sells out. They can do very good in cities like the ones I mentioned.
