People say jones was shot, im not saying he was in his prime far from it but i dont think jones was taotally shot..to me

    TYSON v kevin mcbride/danny williams

    GATTI V Gomez

    REID v Froch

These fighters were so shot that they couldnt fight against average fighters, they retired on there stool oh they got TKO cause they just didnt have it anymore.
Jones still had the heart, desire and the skill and would have beaten a good fighter but not a world class fighter. to me jones wasnt totally shot.

Let's face it, no matter what Calzaghe does now. He'll never get respect from any of those that don't already respect him.

He's faught at Super-Middleweight and beaten everyone possible at that weight division that is worthy to beat, getting all the belts and being champ for over a decade. He's taken on everyone in his era.

There is no one out there for Calzaghe to beat.

    Calzaghe should retire.

    Wrong.
Dawson has been exposed by Johnson and Johnson was exposed by Hopkins(Green no doubt)
Both Johnson and Dawson beat the **** out of Joe Calzaghe

I give Calzaghe plenty of credit for beating Hopkins. Though it'd be insane to call that version of Hopkins prime, today's B-Hop is still tough and smart and more than capable of beating some of the top names around his weight class (as he's proven). So, Hopkins was certainly a good win for Calzaghe, though I believe a prime Hopkins would have beaten him. Jones was disgraceful, though. That fight was a farce. Jones never had a chance, he hadn't beaten anybody note-worthy in years, and quite simply had no business standing in the ring with a fighter like Calzaghe. Calzaghe wanted the fight for money and to get another big American name on his resume. That's all.

They would Johnson would steamroll Joe and Dawson would get on his bike for a UD

If Roy Jones can't beat a world class fighter then he is totally shot. It's not old news either, he hasn't beaten a world class fighter since the first Tarver fight 5 years ago. Calzaghe has a lot of other things for his greatness to be based on, this win is not one of them. For Calzaghe's legacy, this win is basically meaningless.

Well so you've got a problem with reality..nobody is perfect..... Joe ducked Johnson twice already...Both Johnson and Dawson give Joe the fight of his life...Kessler wants a rematch but Joe is to much of a chicken **** ****** to take the fight

A fighter who dominates everyone he fights in his prime, Toney, Hopkins, Hill, Griffin, Ruiz, etc, can no longer even beat a world class fighter. Prime for prime, Jones would have stopped Trinidad inside of 8 rounds, now he can only manage a decision where he lost a few rounds against a Trinidad 3 years and 10 pounds removed from being shutout by Wright. Mediocre fighters like Hanshaw and Ajamu went the distance with him. He went from barely losing rounds to losing 3 straight fights, two of them by knockout. Roy is shot, and has been for a while.
