Thursday, Nov. 15th there will be a pro fight card at the Compuware Arena in Plymouth. The card has Johnathon Banks 17-0 (13 KO's) vs. Derrick Brown 13-3 (11 KO's)...Andy Lee 12-0 (9 KO's) vs. Brad Astin 8-3 (5 KO's)...and Octavio Lara who is yet to be matched. There will also be a amatuer undercard. Hope to see you all there it's been awhile since there was a pro card with Banks and Lee at home,it should be a good night of fights.

I live in Auburn Hills so Plymouth is a bit of a hike but if YOU get a chance come to the Palace when Donofrio makes events here.

Thanks for the heads up my friend.

    BTW

Is there a site that shows all boxing events taking place in Michigan? I'm willing to take a drive if price, time, money etc allow it.

I'm usually at all the Donofrio events. As for a site for Detroit boxing.I usually just keep an eye on ticketmaster.com,or I check boxrec.com and search under the names of the local fighters.

Ray Ray, you beat me to it. I was going to post about his myself. Good to see Banks and Lee fighting here at home. Lara's still making a go of it, huh?

I definitely plan on being there.

Steve O, I wish there was a site like that. I try to keep up by checking the local fighers on boxrec and keeping an eye on the Detroit Free Press sports section. Mike Brundell of the Freep will often have an article or at least a short description of the upcoming local cards.

Thanks for the information. I might have to check this one out - especially since its Banks and Lee.

And I'm really sorry I couldn't attend your fight. It's a long story. How did it go?

Brooklyn, I was wondering if you were able to make Ray Ray's fight. I was there; he did a good job in a three round exhibition.

No worries Brooklyn,I'll let you know when the next one is.I got tired in the last round, but overall I think it went really well.I was giving up 23 lbs.,so next fight should be better seeing that my opponent will be closer to my weight.

    Thanks for all the information.

Rayray, were you at Boxing Under the Stars at Meadowbrook? It was a decent card.

Yeah I went, but to be honest I thought the amatuer card was better than the pro card.I thought the main even Tyner fight was terrible, but that of course is just opinion.

That's true. I've never seen am's fight in person. Those kids were beasts.

    Same with the women.

Tyner needs to step it up a bit.
