Fine. Like I said though....don't make analysis threads and tell everyone they are wrong and you are right when you aren't actually analyzing the fighters based on ability, but on how you feel about their personalities. Why make the analysis when you know going in that you're downplaying the abilities of one fighter to fit the others fighters strengths around it?

 

Cotto seems like a nice guy, but I don't think it will help him beat PBF, or stop him from getting beat like a drum.

And PBF is surely a cocky *******, but far being scum. I don't care for his personality either, but MANY great fighters have done terrible things. Monzon going down for murder is worse than anything PBF ever did or said, but that does not mean Monzon is not an ATG.

Let's not forget, the great SRR beat his wife regularly, and was a philanderer. BHOP went to prison at age 17, Don King killed a guy, and SRL (one of my faves) was a coke snorting wife beater.

PBF being an ******* (which he certainly does seem to be) pales in comparison.:deal

But the point is they didn't use the plan because they were not capable of pulling it off against a fighter of Mayweather's ability. He caused the problem with his own abilities.....you didn't take into account PBF's timing and strength when doing your analysis against Hatton. You didn't take these things into account not because you didn't see them, but because you didn't want to because it would have messed with your analysis, simply because you dislike him. I choose to believe this rather than you didn't KNOW Mayweather had such timing and strength.

Point is, it's not that they didn't use the gameplan laid out, it's that even when they tried, they weren't capable of it. If you were truly analyzing both fighters abilities, you would have seen that from the get go. You are doing the same thing now with Cotto, who is capabale of beating PBF. But you frequently leave out PBF's abilities that counter your analysis, I assume because you don't like him.

 

No, but you are missing the part where I said you constantly underestimate Mayweather to make your analysis valid. It is this reason that the analysis ends up being wrong.

You gave all of Hatton's strengths and neglected or downplayed PBF's. They didn't have the tools to overcome his abilities. It's not just about the style, but the APPLICATION of the style. And right now, no one applies their style as well as Mayweather.
